Removed traits still cause moodlets (Changed in CAS)

There was an Angelic toddler who I used cas.fulleditmode to change into another trait, but she still received some moodlets “From Being Angelic” like the random happy moodlet with the angel wings icon throughout the rest of her age span.

There was an Independent toddler who I had created, played with, and saved in the gallery. I started a new game and used his played household from the gallery as the one I wanted to play with in this new save, but I changed his trait to Fussy before continuing to the next screen. During gameplay, he still received the Independent trait’s positive moodlets from being left alone.

The cheat has always caused this issue and was marked as design a long while ago. Always use traits.remove_trait and traits.equip_trait instead of cas.fulleditmode

The issue with gallery/library Sims not having all their traits removed has also been a problem for a while. Hopefully this can finally be fixed but in the meantime, use the traits cheat to fix it. It should also work on console without affecting trophies. TwistedMexis has a lot of the trait names listed here:

This sounds like the usual issue, not the one they fixed. It's unrelated to the age group.

The cheat always causes this and shouldn't be used. Always use traits.remove and not the cas.fulledit.

Did you use any cheats for the second cas as well or just changing them in CAS ? Sims from the gallery also seem to have this issue for a long while now but it's not related to the issue where aging up didn't remove them which was the issue they fixed.

Do you still have the infant on the gallery ? What's the name ?

Try the following cheats

traits.remove_trait trait_Independent

traits.remove_trait trait_Toddler_Angelic

It's possible that it doesn't work that way and you need to add them first again.

So

traits.remove_trait trait_Toddler_Fussy

traits.equip_trait trait_Toddler_Independent

traits.remove_trait trait_Independent

traits.equip_trait trait_Toddler_Fussy

You need to remove the fussy one first in order to be able to add the Independent back

Same for the other, remove either one of the ones the toddler currently has. Doesn't really matter.

I had an issue like this too! I have a teen sim who still gets buffs from his "Silly" toddler trait. He aged up naturally and I didn't change anything in CAS. I also had a sim that had the "Practice makes perfect" trait and I was trying to do the creative aspiration with her, she was ALWAYS focused and I tried to remove the trait, but into adult hood she still gets buffs from it that clearly say they're from that trait. (She doesn't have it)
