This also happened for me. Using an old save, no mods. She could start knitting projects, but if she didn't finish them in one sitting, she couldn't resume them later. No path error, the command simply will not register.

OMG I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME. Like I’m trying to a rags to riches completionist run and I started the knitting aspiration. So when I saw that she started knitting a $50 project, gets up to pass out, then can’t continue NOR frog the project… cmon EA

I cannot resume nor frog previous projects after the update.

I'm currently having the same issue, can't resume projects or frog them. BetterExceptions and MCCC both keep warning me. BetterExceptions says the possible cause is "display_name" and says the reason is "Exception in Unknown timeline: Exception running Element (AttributeError: type object '[PickerRow]knitting_Picker_Resume_Inventory' has no attribute 'context')". EA please fix this soon it is so incredibly frustrating.

My BetterExceptions gives me the same exact error!

I am having this problem as well. There's no error message, my Sim just does nothing when I ask them to resume or frog their knitting projects. This happens whether I click on the knitting bag itself or a specific place to knit.

I have the same problem. I can start new projects, but cannot resume them. There is no error. The command doesn't register at all.
UPDATE: I still have the same issue, but wanted to add that my Sim spontaneously finished an in progress project twice.

Same issue. They can start a project but never resume it regardless of the place/time. There's no refusal, it just doesn't even populate as an action/command to refuse. Debugging also does not work.
My sim has the knitting aspiration and still can't knit. Does love sitting in the rocking chair though. - BluellamageddonNew Spectator
I have the exact same problem. I only installed the game a few days ago and have no mods. In the past I had no problems...

seconded, i also can't resume knitting projects
this is happening to me on my xbox series s. only started happening after this patch as before that it was fine - the command was registering normally for me when i played earlier in the week. stopped working when i wanted him to resume a toy for his daughter. nothing fixes it, i've tried resetting the entire app & i've also tried switching to manage worlds then live mode. getting my sim to sit in places didn't work either. no failure message or bubble, command just doesn't go through at all as if the projects don't exist
edit: forgot to say frogging the projects doesn't work either. creating new projects works fine
