Sorry for the long title, it's a very specific issue.
I changed all of the titles of the Royals in Ondarion, using the crown icon on the Ondarion world screen. I then went and played a sim in a different neighbourhood (Sulani). Via my sim's Dynasty tab, I viewed the Capp family and saw that they still had the new titles I had given them (yay so far). I then entered my Sulani sim into the Royal career and gave them some different titles via their Royal Career tab. Still everything was fine for the Capps in Ondarion. I then saved and exited game. When I reloaded this save, my sim still had their titles but Ondarion had reverted back to the default titles that came with the game. (There is another thread in this forum with a similar issue but it has been marked as 'solved' but is not solved. I am starting this report as I have been able to successfully reproduce the steps that cause the issue.)
After much testing to find the trigger for this, I have found this 100% reproducible in a new, un-modded game. (My original game was modded but I removed the whole folder, deleted the the localthumbcache and started a new, clean game.)
These are the steps to re-create the issue in my game:
Start a new game --> Move your new sim into any world EXCEPT Ondarion --> Via 'Manage Worlds', go to the Ondarion world screen and change kingdom titles (Just the Rank 9 ones as these are easy to check later by looking at the Capp dynasty) --> Return to your sim, buy a throne and enter the Royal career --> Go to your sim's career tab and from there, edit your kingdom's titles (Just the Rank 1 titles as this is your sim's rank) --> Save and then exit to main menu --> 'Resume' your save --> From your sim's dynasty tab, View Dynasties --> From there, view Capp dynasty profile and you will see that the Capp titles have now reverted to their original form.
This only occurs if you edit both THEIR and YOUR titles with a newly Royal sim and then save, exit and reload.
