Even when I set my vampire to "always travel as mist", sometimes my game will freeze up for almost a full minute, and if it manages to unfreeze, it's because my Sim queued up a million secret passage...

I'm having a similar problem. Whenever I tell one of my sims to do something on another floor they always use a secret passage. Doesn't matter if they're set to transportalate, turn into mist, or if there are stairs that are closer. This is annoying enough, but when I'm trying to get them to take a toddler to do something they'll drop the child before going to the secret passage which then cancels what I'm trying to do with the toddler.
Do you also have infinite queuing of the the task ? If not it's better if you make your own thread.
