Tested this in my game as the crab I bought on the Early Access version (no other packs installed) was fine. Bought a new crab and put in aquarium and had the same thing happen.
So it seems to only happen if you buy a new crab while having the Werewolf pack installed.

Also have this. I have all packs and most kits. Since I want to play with all the packs I purchased, I won't be uninstalling the werewolf pack to 'fix' this. I hope that's not the proposed 'solution' to conflicts like this going forward. That would be absurd.
