Royalty Legacy Gifted Hair Clips onto Other Hairstyles

Ok to be sure I'm trying this correctly.

1. Start new save and new Sim
2. Give them this hair
   

    

3. Change hair to this one
   

    

4. Get artifacts from the first one on the second 

That's what I did and the second got replaced properly for me. Did you also test without the face paint ?

Thank you for your patience with me, my own stupidity inhendered me from finding a solution! Thanks for leading me in the right direction with the fresh save game, previously I thought it would be enough to just remove the mods folder/turn off custom content. I found the culprit which was a CC I happened to install the same day as the Royal Hair gift which also had very closely resembling gems. I'm still new to modding and CCing so I didn't even realize a CC for an accessory could paint on the hairstyles. Thanks again!

I only had this issue AFTER putting on the hairstyle from the gift from Royal and Legacy, the pattern displayed on the hair is I believe is from the back gems. However I could be incorrect? I'm just going to repost the image of the hairstyle that I think started this issue.

You could be right that I haven't removed my CC appropriately. The issue doesn't go away by just changing the clothing on the everyday attire. I will try to do a fresh save and fresh user but I'm not sure how to do that without deleting everything. I will do some research on how to do this and see if it fixes anything!

which of your pics refers to the hairstyle that has the issue ? Please post a pic of the small picture

How did you remove your mods/cc ? Did you test a fresh user folder with a fresh save game ? Are you sure it's not some clothing painting on the hairstyles ? Seems unusual that a hairstyle you're changing is still part of the outfit.
