It works fine, but now the flowers (sometimes) appear in mid-air after or during the interaction (similar to how crystals would appear when the tree became invisible.

When you're done using the flower arranging table, a bit of the flowers stay there floating in the air even after moving or selling the arrangement. When I move the table itself the flowers just hang in the air.
This also just now started happening to me as well. It's not MODS or CC, because I don't play my game with either of those.
