With seasons, one of the special graphical features was rain puddles giving very "wet" looking appearances on the terrain.
However, I think, with so many updates over the years, something must've been broken. The transition from dry to wet look is no longer smooth and is very static. And that the NATURAL terrain of the world's sheen (specular) gets obliterated for the puddle overlays, leaving harsh lot outlines. This is very noticeable in base game worlds like Willow Creek, where grassy terrain has a very metallic shine to it.
Hope this gets fixed, seeing how many bugs have been on track to fixing!
