I found that if I clean out my tray folder it works, at least for me. I try to delete the builds I don't use in game every now and then, but I guess a lot of the builds I actually want to keep are pretty heavy... So I usually copy all of the files to another folder on my desktop + delete everything out of my tray folder, before saving a new lot. Then after the new lot is saved I add the old files back to have access to everything.
Not really helpful, I play on console, not desktop.
