Sim Dying Emotional Death Randomly

My sim was just out talking and I think a fairy cursed her? And made her unbalanced which instantly gave her an ailment and before I could even pause the game she died, all in a matter of seconds. I'm assuming this is a bug (unless they added murderous fairies in the update without telling anyone).

Please test your issue on a vanilla game

To verify on a vanilla game, move your mods folder to the desktop and delete the following files from your user folder.

-  localthumbcache
-  Any lastException Files
-  Any LastCrash files.

Test a backup of your save as you will loose all cc on the save and see if the same error occurs, then report back.

I would but I'm not sure how to recreate the issue. 

Maybe just play on without mods/cc for now and see if it happens again ? Make sure to use a backup.

I had a similar issue. My Sim doesn't die from laughter, but from cardiac explosion when she gets very inspired.

I also am having thise problem where my sims are dying from laughter but aren't histerical. My sims mom, Juniper, died as an adult from laughter and now her daughter, Clementine, is also dying from the same thing. Neither of them were even playful and were both isolated when dying. I have no mods or cc. 

My Sims are very consistently becoming hysterical and it's taking a lot to calm them down. In all my years of playing, I had had it happen a small handful of times, but in the past month, I've had about 10-15 die from hysteria.
