Sim has grouch moodlet without grouch trait

My sim in the social media career had several sims over, because her work-from-home tasks were "be funny to 5 sims" and "level up writing skill". She was telling jokes to her guests while writing, and sometime during that activity she got the "Is this... Kindness? (from Grouch trait)", but she isn't a grouch. Maybe one of her guests was a grouch, I don't know, but if so, they should have been the one to get the moodlet, not my sim.

Just go this while/from "Spread Rumors about others..." with my Mischievious Sim.

This happens to me when I'm playing a sim who is not a grouch, but talking to a sim who is.

I have had this issue before. What worked for me was using a cheat to remove one of their normal CAS traits, using a cheat to equip the grouch trait, then un-equipping it with the cheat and re-equipping the old trait.

Don’t do it in CAS it must be with the cheat to work. It’s almost like the game thought they had the grouch trait even tho it wasn’t listed.

It’s happened a few different times including when using the trait change reward potion which I feel always messes up the traits and doesn’t do it properly so the only way I change traits is thru cheats now.

I just started a new game, fresh save, no mods. I have one grouch in the house. When the grouch gets the "is this... kindness?" uncomfortable moodlet, everyone in the house gets it even though the rest are not grouches. 

I had this same thing happen to me with a new sim I created just today. I’m playing on PC, no mods or cc, and I’ve never had the Grouch Trait on this sim—I don’t even own it.
