My issue recently has been when I put my sims to sleep. They have a long pause, go to sleep, then immediatley they get up even though their needs are fully met. Im not sure why they keep bugging out ...

I put this "workaround" in the old now Archived Bug report linked in this post but figured i should share it here now...
first you want to have one of your sims already asleep then if you click on the sleeping partner's side of the bed instead of the empty side when going to sleep the active sim will often go straight to sleep on the first try.
