Ideas
This has been happening for months now and is making it unplayable at this point, I feel like ripping my hair out trying to get any sim to do what I need them to do.
- As others described, it's an issue with Sims not moving for a time and then dropping the action
- Sims autonomously going to do something (usually something stupid) and I cancel the action, they will still go and perform the action.
- Sims not continuing with tasks after switching household member, I have to stay with each individual sim until they finish the task.
yeah this drives me NUTS. Certainly with leveling up reading books, normally you would direct them to read a book to gain skill and just play with other members of the household. But they always quit reading, or cooking or whatever useful thing I want them to do and go chat with each other ( or on the computer!) Or check an infant while another sim is already attending to them or dance to a radio or make drinks or whatever else useless thing they can do. Makes it very hard to have skill gain for multiple sims in a household at the same time as you have to keep correcting them all the time. It's exhausting. Sims 4 always had wack autonomy compared to earlier games, but this is crazy. Sims 3 sims just que actions and only stop doing them when interrupted by the played sim or when you cancel the action.
Cancelling the action also sometimes doesn't work or it just gets stuck ( the cross through the icon is there and it stays there) and you have to reset the sim to get things moving again.
Makes playing the game really annoying.
