My sims are constantly washing their hands when their hygiene is fine. I was wondering if you all were aware of this bug. It happens every 10-20 sim minutes and I find myself always having to stop their actions manually.

Washing hands is also completely filling the hydration need for mermaids, it goes from red to full green when they do it, no matter the quality of the sink
The only some of mine who does that has the 'neat' trait. I'll see if other sims do this (I've only noticed them washing their hands after using the bathroom and gardening, which makes sense) and if it's otherwise an issue.
None of my current household Sim had a neat trait. They just got back from traveling, the sister immediately "Wash Hands", she hasn't done any gardening, anything. Literally just loaded into their house. This autonomous excess also cancels cooking and other commands I told my Sim to do or is currently doing. It's driving me mad.
This happens a lot with my vampire sim. He compulsively washes his hands or feels the need to take a shower even when he is really clean. I haven't noticed it as much with non-vampire sims.
Is there a fix for this issue yet? I've recently started a new game and my Sim is repeatedly washing her hands even though she does not have the Neat trait and does not do anything to provoke hand washing. She has literally just gotten up off the couch or stopped cooking to go wash her hands. It's frustrating.
My Sim is at the Library in Willow Creek and keeps washing her hands while still reading! That book is getting soggy. I just have the base game saved and the sim is Zoe Patel so she doesn't have the neat trait. I do not have any mods or CC installed.
