Hi, I play on PlayStation and had a sim trying to complete the music aspiration. She would usually get halfway to done with one song before she would be too uncomfortable and then there was never any option to resume, I would have to start a new song. Also writing a song takes super long.

for lyrics you should have sheet music in your inventory and you continue from there. Is that what you don't have ?
There is a bug (or rather was) where the progress starts over that's patched in 2.20. Since you haven't gotten that patch yet, you'll have to wait a bit longer for that.
Just wanted to make sure it's not the first problem before merging this into the existing bug report.

Hi! I'm still experiencing the bug of my sims starting over everytime they resume writing songs, I'm on console so no mods, and I own basically every pack. And as they said above, it takes ages for them to write a song, as in multiple days of grinding.

Does it matter if you travel in between or just if you stop, and then click resume on the sheet music on your inventory ?
Does the instrument matter ?

Whenever I try to write a song it takes ages and resets every time my SIM stoos to complete a need. There are no in progress songs in my inventory and I do not have a continue writing option when going back into the guitar
crinrict I was wondering why the old bug was marked as resolved because I've been struggling with this same issue on my save where writing a song needs to be done in one sitting since progress doesn't save. Then you mentioned that you can resume the song from inventory... good lord I don't know how I missed that so thank you!
But if I may ask, why isn't there an option to resume song from the instrument itself? Like with writing books and paintings?Music has always worked differently. I don't know why the devs choose to do it this way but different from books, you get an actual object in the inventory. Books are just a thing on the computer until you finish it.
Maybe they thought it was more realistic to have a physical sheet music object for instruments while a book can be save on the computer easily.
It would still be nice to have an option on the instrument as long as you have the sheet music in your inventory but would def be a suggestion for the feedback forum :D
