If a sim has a bicycle in their inventory, they will opt to ride the bike when given the direction to "jog here" or "walk here". This happens consistently in old and new saves. The action icon will display the chosen action, "walk here" or "jog here", even though the sim is riding their bicycle.

I've had this issue too. I've removed the bike from their inventory and left it outside their house. I only use it in big worlds it makes sense to
yes! i have resorted to just putting the bike in one of the boxes inside my inventory to prevent them from using it until i'm ready. very annoying.
Sims riding the bikes to indoor locations, like to the kitchen... This makes me not use the bikes.
Oh yeah this. I noticed that this started happening after the bug fix update. I played with no mods and cc, my sim had a bike in her inventory. Before bug fix it was fine, the further distance would make her take her bike out and drive, when she would go jogging she would jog. After the update, if I would click somewhere slightly further for her to walk, she would take her bike out, sit on it, then climb off and pick up the bike back into her inventory. That is REALLY annoying. Same with driving to the inside of the house 😅
I always assumed (since it's always been an issue for me) it was by design. So unless I want a child to complete the aspiration that requires one, bikes are dead to me
