I realize that there isn't much to go on yet. I'll update this report if I catch it happening. But I've noticed that occasionally, my Sim will use a toilet in one restroom, and will then go to a sink...
Ideas
The problem I am having is similar: I have created a bakery as a small business and included a kitchen... On the upper floor, the sim lives with his household and they have a kitchen there. So the sim gets the food in the refrigerator on the ground floor than goes to the upper floor to use the oven. (I do not use mod but I do have some CC, like hairs, in my game)
