Are there any sims in the spots your sim routes to? I know there's some kind of code logic where a sim picks not the most comfy seat, but a seat that's surrounded by other sims, unless your sim is alone to which then you can just ignore me :D
I don't remember about previous occurrences, but the one that prompted this post there was definitely no one else there, as I was only playtesting the house and the only other sim was standing around doing nothing at the front door.
