Sims/Pets age up multiple times in a row

Had this same issue, my sim had triplets which all were aging up to a toddler, then one aged up from toddler to a child right after

I just had this issue on PS5. My toddler aged up to a child, then immediately to a teen. This was automatic aging, not using the cake.

I too am having the issue that once an infant ages up, after selecting the toddler trait it ages them up to a child. 

I've had this issue today, infant was read to age up to toddler, when he did he immediately aged up to child. I left the game without saving and had the mother help the infant to blow out the candles on a birthday cake and the infant aged up to toddler without any problems.

I have the same issue, infants age twice (so straight to children). I play on ps4 so no mods/cc, just packs. Been happening in every save, especially frustrating for my legacy challenge which I'm trying to do without cheats. Created an EA account just to comment here lol (I use my gfs account to play sims as she has the packs on her account) it's making the game very frustrating 

Just had this issue with my child sim - on her birthday she aged until she turned into an elder. I play PC, no mods, I have most of the expansion packs and this has been super frustrating. 

I’ve been having this issue for multiple generations of my legacy family. Infant keeps aging up and without pausing my game and resetting the sim, I had one infant keep aging until she became an elder (I didn’t want to see if she’d die so I paused and reset sim). This just happened when my sim aged up automatically, I’m not sure if it’s happened at other ages or just infant or whether it happens when using a birthday cake. I am playing with mods but based on the comments on this thread, mods don’t seem to be the cause. 

I just had this happen. Toddler aged up to child to teen. I know I'm not missing much but it's an annoying bug nevertheless and makes the feeling of lineage less meaningful to me.
