'Sit and chat' cancels conversation interaction

I am having this exact issue on PC. I tested this on a 100% clean game with NO MODS and NO CC.Here is exactly how the bug happens: My active Sim starts a conversation with an NPC guest. They talk fine at first. But the moment I try to move the conversation anywhere else—whether I click to 'Sit and chat' on a couch, move to a table with chairs, or even just click to walk and talk somewhere else on standing up—the system completely breaks. Only my controlled Sim moves or sits down, the conversation instantly cancels out with an 'X' in the queue, and the guest NPC just freezes in place and stays behind.This happens across multiple saves and even the traditional social menu does not fix it. The latest update completely ruined the group conversation routing.

As AlexW990 pointed out, it's not just "Sit Here and Chat" — "Move Here and Chat" was not working either. When a conversation starts at the front door, my Sims keep talking right there at the entrance without ever moving inside, which really breaks immersion. Even when I try to get them to talk inside, the conversation gets canceled and only my Sim moves.

Just tested this as well and indeed there is no way anymore to chat at a table by directing it, they will always stop any conversations and only my own Sim goes to sit at the table, while there is no way for me to bring the other Sim I want to have a conversation with :(

This is quite interrupting, as this interaction is needed for having any social or romantic times together. 

I hope this gets fixed in the next patch, losing these interactions make it very hard to play socially.

Came here after watching simmer Erin's video because I had this happen and didn't even realize it was a bug at the time. Had my sims at the beach and tried to do the "sit here and chat" interaction, it canceled itself and my sim decided to go off to pet the dog. I thought the pet interaction canceled it. But I realize I also tried to get them to "chat here" in the ocean two separate times and both times they just stopped talking to one another. I'm on xbox btw with all packs and some kits
