Stair Rails 'Popping' through Walls and Windows (Patch 1.73)

Adding a little information:
I checked out this issue with making available all owned packs and I found the following 3 stair rails have this issue.

• SV: Old School Stair Rail
• JA: Selvadoradian Wood Railing
• FR: Traditional Tomarang Railing

And more packs -I don't have- are reported in Archieve thread (mentioned by  raven4sims).
At behind the wall that the stairs are attached to, the stair rail hides and appears, when you change your viewpoint or distance to the wall. But it doesn't happen if you look from the stairs side.

I think there are more from other packs not mentioned here but I would have to check… I mean the dev can check that easily but the point is that they should allow us to place railing independently on either sides of the stairs and also correct the railing going through wall and windows.

Oh I would love to be able to choose railing independently on either sides of the stairs!

This is an ongoing issue with many of the railings.  I don't think that EA/Maxis even considers it a glitch.  They sort of fixed it at one point by programming the railings to not show up if the stairs were up against a wall.  Unfortunately that caused no railing on sides that had partial walls at the side of the stairs.  Their fix for that was to just add the railings back to both sides again leaving us where we started - railings that stick out of walls and cover windows.  Not really a solution at all imho.

I feel like a modding solution might be possible just by overriding these stairs with ones that have the top rail slightly thinner to fit inside the wall, I don't think it would be a large visible difference, but stair rails are out of my wheelhouse because they don't work with some of my modding tools. Still wouldn't help with appearing in windows

This doesn't happen with every railing, but with any type past a certain thickness,  the edges clip out through the walls where they intersect with them. This leaves them visible and, while not impeding gameplay at all, it's unsightly, obnoxious, distracting, and I cannot imagine it's an intentional aspect of the game.  

This happens regardless of whether the wall is an interior or exterior wall, and will occur 100% of the time if, as stated above, the railing isn't very thin. Basically, if the mesh of the railing is wider than the thickness of the wall, it will clip out of both sides of the wall/the wall will fail to block the railing from showing up. 

This is admittedly not a high-priority bug in that it doesn't impact my ability to play the game, but since no one else has reported it (as far as I can see), and maybe it's related to other issues that are more severe, it seemed like a good idea to document it.

Even ones that seem to be fine still clip. I've had some seem slim enough to hide in the wall, but when you rotate the camera angle they still clip through. It might not seem like an issue, but for someone sensitive to flashing or flickering images/light, this can actually be quite problematic.

It seems like some stair rails have a wider footprint than the walls, these will show through walls. The same goes for some stairs (the snowy escape ones as one example). My solution so far has been not to use these stairs or rails when placing a staircase next to a wall but that doesn't seem like a reasonable solution. 

What I'd love is the ability to only use rails on one side of the stair...

I'm having this issue but I also see the whole stair railing in the wall now
