My sims all have over 200 friends now!!!! They don't even have to speak to them either! The stranger only need to appear in the area where the sim(s) appeared. There is absolutely no way anyone could get the "close-knit" lifestyle unless you lock your sim up in a house and never let them leave!!!! I don't know if phone calls do anything but once the sim has 4 friends - " the close-knit" lifestyle is not attainable.

I aged up a toddler a couple of days ago, Tamar's 1st day as a child, got a phone call from someone she has never met, not even when she was an infant or toddler, they called to congratulate Tamar for her birthday and instantly became friends!! Now I can say that friends are forced via a phone call, even if you don't answer it as it happened while Tamar was at her 1st day of school! My other issue is going to be that her social aspiration requires her to friend 2 adults and fear she will have 200 friends before she becomes a teen!!!!!! 😬
