Is it not possible to DRASTICALLY reduce how much strangers come up to you to talk and partake in your current conversations uninvited? You end up with a relationship panel crowded by strangers even...

I think it is a reasonable feature to have this happen occasionally, particularly if the intruding townie has particular personality traits (e.g. Outgoing or Nosy), and the sim that is being intruded upon has the option to tell them where to go (perhaps with some penalty if they have low charisma). However, it happens far too often at the moment.
