Is it not possible to DRASTICALLY reduce how much strangers come up to you to talk and partake in your current conversations uninvited? You end up with a relationship panel crowded by strangers even...

Strangers in your conversation

I played the game the other day just to check out the new family tree update and I was trying to get to know Agnes and Agatha Crumplebottom to see if they had updated their family trees (they didn't) and while I was playing with the Sims I was playing with it was just one unwanted autonomous conversation from one townie to the next.
First while my Sim and her husband were talking in the town of Hanford on Bagley by the Garden Shop my Sim got an interaction for a Finchwich Favor. I tried to cancel it right away but it just kept popping up. Eventually I let it go through.
Then another random townie just butts in and now all of a sudden I'm in a group conversation with my Sim and her husband and this random Sim. Now if I cancel the conversation it exits the whole conversation so I wait for the other Sim to arrive and even though they are all talking together about nothing they haven't been introduced yet so I can't say goodbye to them without first running the interaction for introducing them.
I exit the group conversation and add my Sims husband to a group and I tell them to go somewhere else but unfortunately it's the same thing; another random Sim just decides to join my private conversation. My Sim could straight out be making out with another Sim and the other Sim will just be there waiting to talk.
Another part of this whole thing that frustrates me to no end that not only prevents me from going out to community lots is the fact that almost 💯 of the time those random townie interactions take priority over my own interactions with my own Sims meaning if someone from across the neighborhood decides to talk to my Sim even if I cancel our of it I need to wait for them to walk/run over to my Sim and run the interaction before I get control again. It really should not be this way and maybe it's a design choice but I choose to believe it's actually bugged and I refuse to let it go lol.
I'm glad that it's under investigation. I'm glad it was even mentioned in the latest laundry list. I just need this to be fixed because it seriously hinders play when you're constantly interrupted when you don't even want anything to do with random Sims if you didn't choose to interact with them in the first place.
