Successful Lineage: 'Have a child complete aspiration not checking' off

I'm having this problem too. My child has completed 2 childhood aspirations but it's still not checking off. They also reached the top of Scouts but I'm not sure if that counts as a 'career' as it hasn't checked that off either. 

No mods. 

Yeah, also having the bug. One of my child Sims just completed the "mind and body" aspiration and it didn't fulfill the adult sims' Successful Lineage aspiration. I'm really hoping they'll fix it soon, since I'm trying to do a legacy and can't move on until she completes it. :( 

Edit: I'm on the PlayStation 4 and have never used mods or CC, updated to the latest version.

Just wanted to add I'm also experiencing this bug - I had a child sim complete an aspiration (been a few days so I don't remember which it was); it didn't complete so I waited until they aged up to adulthood and completed a second aspiration (Painter Extraordinaire); the 'Have a Child Complete an Aspiration' component of the fourth stage of 'Successful Lineage' still failed to register as complete, blocking progression.

I am happy to hear that they are more people experienced this. This bug report needs MORE attention. 

KingKevvdk​ do you know anybody else who is able to complete this after 2nd June 2025 onwards? I assume none? I want to know whether it is possible to complete them after 2nd June 2025 onwards.

While progressing through the Successful Lineage aspiration, all goals work correctly until Level 4. The objective “Have a child complete any Aspiration” does not register as complete, even when a child or teen successfully finishes their own aspiration. This includes aspirations such as Artistic Prodigy, Rambunctious Scamp, etc. The other two goals on Level 4 (“Execute 3 Mentor interactions on your child” and “Have a child or grandchild reach Level 10 of any Career”) complete normally.

This issue occurs regardless of whether the child is adopted or biological, or whether they live in the active household. I’ve tested it with multiple families and save files, and the result is always the same — the aspiration won’t progress due to this specific objective not ticking off.

I am having a similar issue. Someone else had made a post about the same thing I'm experiencing and was directed to this thread for follow up.

My sim is on the last stage of the successful lineage aspiration. She's had multiple children (child age) complete their aspirations without checking that option off. She currently has an adult child who has reached the top title of his career, but that task is also still not counted.

I also found that child sims' confidence doesn't show on their Simology, so I end up saving before they age up just in case they don't get the high self-esteem trait and I need to reload. It's the only way for me to know if their confidence is high.

No, I don't know anyone who plays the game but me. This is the first time I've tried all of the "family" achievements despite playing the game for several years, so I do not know when the last time they were working would have been.

What part of, I did my duty and if you want any further tests done you have to do them yourself, in your own game, didn't you understand?

Stop telling me what to do with my savefile, and stop assuming you know what will and will not affect my rules and the way I play. Stop trying to come up with ways to "protect" my savefile while doing tests I in no way said I wanted to do.

and restore them after using the steps I said above.

Furthermore, the 2nd way, you can play the steps I said above, and don't save. You can "exit your world" without clicking the save option if the aspiration doesn't check. If the aspiration checks, you can select "save and exit world"
