Sudden Career Jump

This happened to me too - had my sims start in the grim reaper career and after one shift, jumped from level 1 to level 7 and got all the promotional money from every promotion in between.

My sim got to level 9 after one shift, I assumed it's because she has connections and entrepreneurial because I've never really played with a sim with both but tbh that feels way too op to be how it plays so I wouldn't be surprised if it's this bug

Civil designer: One sim got promoted from level 4 to 9 in the civic planner branch another in the green technician branch went from level 4 to 8. None of them gets promoted after that, only raises.

Writer journalist: Promotion one day after choosing branch to level 10. 

Edit: I noticed that all 3 of them have the entrepenurial reward and it didn't happen to 2 others without it. Might be related.

My Sim is currently in the actor career at level 5. After the latest update, when she goes to work instead of being promoted to level 6 she is promoted to level 9 or 10 (though the pay stays the same).

I've got both this issue AND the only getting raises issue (voted in that thread too) - my current sim is in the acting career and he jumped from level 3 or 4 to level 8 in one promotion, and then a different sim in the critic career was promoted and chose the food critic branch and then only ever got raises instead of promotions after that.

Having same issue they jump to level 7 then no longer can promote just keeps resetting my performance back to average. Making me not want to play it to be honest

I feel like this probably relates to this issue - I had a teen go to high school with the high school years pack installed. I didn't follow her to school but she was offered early graduation on her first day of high school!

Lilsimsie told in her Enchanted by Nature review video that this happened to her with the new naturopath career. After branching at level 6 (?) straight to level 10.
