Time/Sim freezes while environment still moves (1.128.90/2.39)

After installing the most recent update, I went to open up my most recent game. My sim loads in his home reading a book at about 6am and then when 8am hits, wherever he is, he freezes, as does the game clock. The game overall stops responding and I've had to force quit to get out of the application.

Can you please provide the following information:

• Are you using mods/cc in your game? Please remove them and test without them if you do
  • Please choose a thread tag for either mods/cc removed if you tested without or never if you don't use any
• What platform are you playing on (PC, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox)? Please pick a thread tag for that
• Does the entire game freeze only when you're playing with that specific Sim at 8AM, or regardless of what household/sim you're playing in?

Hey I'm playing on my Xbox series X and since the update on Tuesday my Sims keep stopping, I can't play on anything other than base speed and even on base speed Sims just stop doing things, I had a SIM finish reading a book stand up from the sofa and it took him 6 and a half in game hours to walk the two empty spaces to put the book into the bookshelf, take out another book and sit down again. I had another SIM a robot It was sat in a chair I told it to recharge and it just looked left and right for over two in game hours doing nothing before recharging, other Sims just stop walking they'll be on there way to do something and just stop and stand still the others around them keep doing things and time keeps going, this wasn't an issue before the update on Tuesday now I can't play properly I tell a SIM to do something and have to wait minutes before they do. I have no mods installed and am playing on console!

I have this similar problem since the Sep 22 patch update.  The following copied from another thread is exactly what is happening in my game.

I have tried playing with and without MODS, I have repaired the game, I have deleted all save games and started brand new games twice now (very annoying to have to do this), I have cleared all the cache files, both via the EA App and via my Windows folders.  The symptoms indicated below are in a thread that says the problem is fixed.  THE PROBLEM IS NOT FIXED!!! 

Symptoms in the game

• Time stand still although there can be a delay where time moves for a but when part of UI is frozen
• You can't click on anything
• Sims move but do interactions endlessly
• Environment moves
• If you have multiple household members, you can't switch between them.
• Going to the map in this state can lead to endless loading
• You can still switch to build mode but only delete one item.
• Not all households are affected. Unsure what causes it.

Unsure/More info needed

• It start happening at a specific time
• Computer starts to use up a lot of the resources

I have some of these problems too. Especially on larger lots like the High School lot but it happens on smaller lots as well, just not as noticeable at first. Tested unmodded and modded, same result. I'm on PC.

this is happening in my forever save and i’m devastated. i’m on console so there’s no way mods are an issue. It’s only happening in my main household from what i can tell. i have two young adults and an infant.  I can play normally for about 5 minutes and then i can’t switch between sims , the camera shifts as if it did but the IU doesn’t change. time won’t freeze but build mode will open right away. nothing will place, it will say system error. i thought it was bc of the large lot but even if i travel the game still isn’t processing the interactions without a 1-2 minute delay. i’m very frustrated bc this has been happening since they announced the update and ive been playing in this save for almost a year now i dont want to lose it! 

There's still an open bug report for Sims freezing. Checking with a Community Manager if they want this merged or kept seperate.

Where is that open bug report for sims freezing? 

I checked the list of compiled issues but couldn't find

EA wants to track this separately from the old ones for now so setting this to review for now.
