Any time I try to have a parent use the "read toddler book" interaction, they just stand there with the book in hand for a few minutes and then cancels the interaction.

Adding my report of this issue. Queue the interaction and my parent sim will sit down with a book in hand. The toddler comes up in front of him and both have the task icon for the story. Both sit there frozen for some period of time (with the toddler's fun bar not going up) then it eventually fails and the book disappears. This bug makes it impossible to complete some of the parenting aspirations because you have to read to the kid as one of the required tasks.
PC, tested with no mods or cc
