Toddlers/Infants don't age up with cake

Same with me, but I´m playing long lifespan

I'm experiencing this as well, with normal lifespan. I had aging turned off to get the milestones done, but turned it back on before aging up. I have tried making them travel with the cake to another lot, repairing my game, resetting everything...nothing works =( I'm going to have to wait to age up my toddler which means waiting to play because I don't want to age the newborn into an infant before the toddler is a child. Ugh.

I'm on normal lifespan and am experiencing this as well when attempting to age my toddler up into a child. Have tried several times and every time after he's blown the candles out it's as if I used the reset sim command and he's teleported out of the adult sim's arms instead of being put down on the ground to age up. 

I had the same problem, I traveled and cooked the cake in another place and it worked... this morning playing with another family I had no problem.... always surprising these bugs....

How would we know what save files to share? When I follow the instructions and go to my files under The Sims 4, in the "saves" folder, there are 42 different files all with random numbers. How do we figure out which files correlate to the sims save that specifically is having the problem stated above so that I can share it?

I had an issue last night with cake aging and only toddlers but a little different. The action to help blow out candles only flashed up for a second in the queue for the mum and vanished, I tried it over and over again.. I tried asking for help blowing out the candles from the toddler and every time it failed to queue. I put that cake in the trash made another and put it back on the same counter as the previous and it failed again, this time the option to blow out candles was grayed out and unclickable so I had to move the cake around all my counters randomly until I put it on one where it let me blow the candles out and age up the toddler. 

Also after the action of blowing out the candles was done my toddler walked out of the house and all the way to the front garden just to end up outside on the other side of the wall inside the fence boundary to directly where the counter was placed inside the house and aged up there. And this happened twice because my sim had twins that day. Maybe that's a reason why kids are teleporting while aging up?

(I'm on PS4, no in game cheats, no mods, no CC used) 

My sim picked up my toddler sim to help them blow out the candles. They blow them out and then are set down, but they don't age up. Tried the interaction multiple times, still not working. Reloaded my game, still not working. I saw the cake interaction pop up for a split second before disappearing as well.

I am unsure if this just applies to toddler sims, or more sim ages, however, when my toddler sim either uses the interaction "Ask to blow out candles" or from my adult sims side, "Help blow out candles..." The Action bubble for "Age up!" with the cake will appear after candles are blown out, however, It will soon disappear with nothing happening, and the toddler will move on with their day. I am stuck with this at the moment.
