This issue is still active in the most recent patch.
I did test out to see if it was related to any of the DLC's just in case, and I couldn't pinpoint one DLC as a culprit. I really think this is something that needs to be reviewed because it does cause sims to not properly sleep, and it often forces sims back out of bed which has caused my sims to immediately pass out on the floor.
