UI Exception 1009: GUI corruption after building

There is some kind of bug when I enter building mode. When I build an empty house, I can't save it, and when I press the menu (···)? button, the screen goes black. When I build a house with a Sim in ...

No mods, every time I go into buy mod and leave the live menu button disappears. I can't do anything but task manager shut down. When exiting to menu I just get a black screen. Trying to stop it via steam just leads to infinite shutting down. 




  1. Verified game files
  2. Cleared Cache
  3. Uninstalled and Reinstalled
  4. Uninstalled - Removed All Files Related to Sims 4 - Reinstalled

did you also get rid of your save games ? When you say removed all files you also mean the user files right ? Have you tried if it works on a new windows user for testing ?

EDIT: Do you have any lastUIExceptions with this ?
