When I leave build/buy, my UI disappears and I cannot interact with anything or open the options. The only way I can leave the game is with Ctrl+Alt+Del. I have tried moving my mods folder elsewhere (Mods and CC are disabled already), deleting localthumbcache and repairing the game through the EA app.
Do you have any LastException/LastUIExceptions files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?
Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.

Does it happen on all save or just a specific one ? Also on a new ?
have you tested a fresh user folder when removing your mods/cc ?
