when I pull up my cell phone and choose to take a vacation day from the mortician job it's not available/ Not there. Help?

When I click the "Take Vacation Day" option in my sims' phone, she picks it up, the phone rings, but the animation cancels halfway through before I get the popup. After several attempts at Google searches, I've noticed that others have had this issue. When she quits her job and goes to another job, part time or full time, she can take vacation days, but she specifically can't take vacation days as a Lifeguard,
Has this issue been solved or is it still ongoing?
