This had been an ongoing bug and seems to have gotten lost with the change of losing sims4 forums! No mods installed. I hire a butler, all is good until I leave the lot and return! the butler I hired becomes a normal sim, loses its butler trait, and a completely new and random sim is on my lot working as a new butler (meanwhile the old butler is still on my lot, but does not have the butler tag). This has been a bug in the game for YEARS since release of Vintage Glamour and is still not getting addressed. I think most don't play with butlers for this reason alone, and think maybe this is a feature, it is NOT! it is a BUG!
