So, this has been happening to me for a while, maybe aggravated by July update (Fairies) but not sure.
When you invite a sim (not a household member and not organizing an event) from phone, portrait, map, invite to current lot... to a Bar, Nightclub or Lounge, the sim will arrive and will stay for a little but then they will suddently leave, I tested for employed and unemployed sims, so it's not a time conflict.
No mods or alterations.
- Does it happen with every single Sim you invite or specific ones ? Yes, every sim invited stays for a minute and then go (as long as they dont belong to the active household).
- Does it happen when you invite a Sim or when they invite you or both? Depends, it always happens when I invite a sim, when my sim is invited to something, there are some events which make the sim who invited me leave immediately like Friends or Family Hangout (it's like the event is cancelled) and others that dont, like dates.
Ok, so I've been doing more testing and turns out this bug only affect Bars, Nightclubs and Lounges.
When you invite a sim to current lot or use the phone or map to travel with (not a household member or a scheduled event) and it's one of the mentioned ones, the invited sim will leave shortly.

This bug happens when you invite a sim to the current lot (not a household member) or go with them using map, mobile... to someplace. Its easy to replicate, go with your sim to a bar, invite someone to current lot (not organizing an event, just inviting). The invited sim will come and stay for a little and then, they'll leave the place.
When you organize a date or something through the event planner menu, it works fine. In fact the workaround I'm using is organize a friendly hangout through that menu and not directly, which is kind of annoying
