When customizing a role outfit for a custom venue in The Sims 4, the game freezes upon exiting CAS. The menu pop-up becomes stuck on the screen requiring me to restart the whole game.

I am having the same issue. Everytime I try to set a custom outfit, upon exiting CAS the schedule menus are left on my screen but are non functional.
I am on Xbox and own all packs.
Ever since installing the Adventure Awaits pack, my game has been crashing every time I try to add uniforms—and even worse, it's deleting my save files. I'm playing on Xbox with no mods, so this shouldn't be happening. This has been the most frustrating experience I've had with this game.
Paying $39.99 for a pack that breaks core gameplay is unacceptable. It's not the first time the game has launched with major issues, and now we're stuck with content we can't even use. We’re paying for a game we literally cannot play. Something needs to be done.
I tried to schedule a getaway from the calendar and wanted to set custom outfits for the various roles. I did the first one (male Sim) without a problem but after creating the second outfit (female Sim) when the game exits out of CAS the getaway interface is blank and I can't use the mouse to click anything. The cursor still moves and the keyboard worked normally.
I play on PS4 so I tried using the controller instead to see if this fixes the problem, but again even though the pointer would move I couldn't select anything. There was also a blank pop-up when I was using the controller over the confirm icon which was blank (see image attached). I could use the controller to navigate through the UI to save and exit to the main menu but the issue was still occurring. Reloading the game was the only way I could bring back the pointer controls for both controller and keyboard/mouse set ups.
On my second try, after this happened, I went to the calendar and if I selected to create an event, there was another pop-up but this one said "Game Loading is in progress." which is most likely the causIng the problem (see image attached). Using the controller or keyboard I could still pause, change the game speed, toggle selected Sim, control the camera and enter build/buy mode. The pointer still moves around in whichever mode I played in, but I couldn't select anything and the hovering outlines and pop-ups didn't appear.
With the new pack adventure awaits I’m tryna make a custom venue and it keeps freezing up. And I have to exit the whole game and start again. £35? Really? Broken pack?

Can’t do nuttin but close the game. Tried everything and i done tried multiple times smh
Community ManagerThis is also happening to me as well, it’s also got a fair few other reports on the not saving custom venues bug report.
I'm on Xbox and I can’t assign any custom outfits the screen just freezes which then also stops the lot saving any schedule. I can’t get out of the screen and have to exit the game to get it to work.
the only way I can get out the screen is to switch to key but it’s then broken by that point and then when I’m in live mode I can’t click on anything in any lot, this doesn’t matter if I use a mouse or controller.
update: just tried to edit a different lot in b/b mode and my cursor also doesn’t work there at all. so looks like i’ll have to restart my game.
so i modified the uniform for campers in the kids camp preset and when i went to open the scheduler again it literally won’t work. like, not a single thing is showing up and if i try to exit the scheduler it just brings my cursor up and i can’t do anything and am left to go to manage worlds via the save/pause screen (idk what it’s called, but it’s where the settings and exit to main menu are) to do literally anything else.
im on console (xbox) so no mods, but i do have cheats enabled in this save. i’ve gone back into the camp and attempted to modify the schedule preset again and it still doesn’t work. attached photo of what it looks like, i can’t click on anything once my cursor shows up and hitting the button to switch it from cursor to UI also doesn’t work.
Recently bought Adventure Awaits on my PlayStation 5. Each time I try to book a Romantic Competition I try to add a custom role. I put their traits and role. Then I try to add the costume and press save. The whole thing freezes. The schedule disappears on the screen and I can do nothing but restart the game. Have restarted my PlayStation several times and restarted the game. No change. Still happens.
