the game will act like you're not getting enough Wi-Fi or something but my console is connected to a lan cable I'm on PS5 and I own all DLC and when you switch between live and build mode a few times slowly the graphics degrade. the game will adjust your graphics as if your system is having a hard time running it or as if it's not getting enough connection but nothing has changed except for switching between the two modes. all my other games run perfectly fine I have no games that will degrade the graphics to this point like it literally looks like I'm playing the PlayStation 2 era of The Sims like I literally still own the Sims Urbz for PlayStation 2 and the graphics will degrade to that point on the Sims 4 on PS5 from literally just playing the game as intended.
