[XB/PS] Controls not responding

Hi my name is Andrew I play on ps5 I installed the update and recently I've noticed sometimes my controls become unresponsive I don't know what causes it it seems like it happens randomly when I bring up the social interactions and/or when I travel to different lots please can anyone relate to this I don't have any photos of it happening sadly and it interferes with my gameplay.

The last few times in Create-a-Sim, as soon as I go to modify the weight/muscle of my sim, it will not let me exit out of it. None of the buttons on my controller do anything, it just ignores every command and I end up having to restart the game, unable to create any new households because it won’t let me click on anything else after I edit their weight, making it impossible to save anything before restarting. Very frustrating, has been happening the last few days.

I've been having this issue for  Build mode & Live mode, where controls suddenly stop working when using Toggle Cursor

When in CAS, my menu gets stuck onto my sim making it so that I can’t do anything.

Recently as of 9/2 whenever I play the Sims on my Xbox I constantly have to turn off and re connect my controller. Every few minutes or so the cursor moves around but no buttons can be pressed for a few seconds. There is no lag at all just unresponsive controller for a few seconds. I have an Xbox Series X, and I have 3 controllers, 2 old ones, and one newer one and they all have the same issue.
It happens while building, while in CAS, while on manage worlds, and while in live mode.

Hey so I’ve consistently had issues with CAS. When I go into create a sim, I will get stuck on the menu when I go to edit the face/hair/accessories. My controller will be working just fine. I can use L3 to switch between the options (I can move between face, hair, accessories etc) but I can’t CLICK on them. I have tried ALL the options - x, square, triangle and o and it won’t do anything. I tried the touchpad with no luck. Even tried using the arrows. Tried L1 and L2 and R1 and R2 combos. Nothin. Still stuck on menu and had to exit without saving numerous times. Can’t even go to the options menu. It will let me use R3 to move my sim but again can’t press any options. Really upset 

I’m on Xbox 1 and this is happening for me, too- except the game completely stops responding to my controller. I know its a Sims issue because i can still use the controller otherwise. switching to a different one doesnt work either. It basically wastes hours of gameplay bc i have to keep making my sims over.

Yeah def a sims issue. I’ll switch controllers and it’ll still be stuck and it sucks. And I Can press the ps home button and from there i have to close the app and restart it. Imagine it happened today on the LAST sim after fully editing THREE sims 😔

Exactly. the game is basically unplayable at this point. :/ I wonder if saving the family to the library before it freezes would work, although i’m not sure if it happens after a certain amount of time, or if it’s random. It seems to happen 20-30 minutes into creation, at least IMO.
