'ZZZ' Animation when Awake and Active

I've started seeing this behavior occasionally with both Sims in this household. The "ZZZ" animation used for sleeping Sims appears at times when they are awake and active.

I just saw a weird variation of this, but with a different stuck animation.

This infant has had the crying animation for hours. But she hasn't had any moods that would justify crying. And now, she's asleep, and if you look closely, she's still crying. She has both the "ZZZ" animation for sleeping, and the teardrops animation for crying.
