From what you’ve described, it sounds like the shifter itself is working correctly, especially since it works in other games and has briefly worked in EA SPORTS WRC after the workaround you mentioned. This may be related to how the game detects or initializes that specific MOZA setup on Xbox.
That said, EA SPORTS WRC is no longer receiving active support, so we’re unable to raise this for further investigation or provide a game update to address it.
The best things to try would be keeping the MOZA firmware fully updated, making sure the base is already in Xbox mode before launching the game, and reconnecting the setup before starting the game.
