Any mods for more impactful traits?
I wish sometimes the game had more impactful traits that effected the gameplay more. Effected their wants and fears too. an example of a funny one I think would be instead of romantic or hopeless romantic would be obsessive romantic. A trait where the sim is more picky about who they flirt with or like but when they do like someone or fall in love it becomes obsessive for them and they become very needy for them. And practically all their wants and fears have to do with this particular sim. Such as constantly calling them even in the middle of the night. and asking them why haven’t you I heard from you? Or why haven’t you called me back? And the more the sims ignore this obsessive romantic they get more intense to maybe showing up to their house unannounced or following them to different destinations or a pop up that says they showed up to their sims work and caused embarrassment. It may get to the point they don’t want this sim to be out of their sight and if they are they become angry to rage full and they also get very jealous of other interactions the other sim may have with other sims. I know it sounds dark but the game needs a bit more darker traits there’s not that many impactful ones with meaningful reactions. You could also add an obsessive friendship trait where this sim is in awe of their best friend that they will do anything they say. Their friend has complete control over what they do or how they act, it would be good for creating clicks in get together for sims to follow a certain sims orders. The trait could be called follower or sheep trait. Or obsessive friend trait.I guess mental health should be censored in the TS4???
I have mental illness and used to create my own sims on ways to cope effectively, very therapeutic somewhat however patreon has banned all mental health traits. Sadly I waited a whole two years to download specific BPD trait, now I just feel like my illness should be censored however it’s very normal as it’s an illness.. I've downloaded the mod that allows camera mode in build mode (BuildCam by TwistedMexi), only to discover that I can't press ctrl+z in that mode to reverse deleting an item, and it turned out you're supposed to quit the camera mode every time, undo the deleting and then go back into camera mode and your saved position. Anyone who's making stop motions knows what I'm talking about, but is it just me that thinks it's madness? Is it really impossible to create a mod that would allow you to undo deleting an item while already in the camera mode in build mode? I'd actually pay for a mod like that. Hi, I posted this idea some time ago in the general discussion, but it received no attention. I have some related ideas for mods. Since I don't find myself focused enough (unless someone gets me a mathematical diagram in my room :P) to learn how to mod, I'm handing the ideas to you. Transformation/Morphing - A machine, or a potion, which transform the sims into a different one. It can be either just a physical change, or an entire change (it can be flexed into many paths - traits, relationships, aspirations, age...). Transformation into a different gender and age can also be possible (perhaps a way to either keep the age stat or change it during that transformation?). You can then get a selection to which sim you want to transform to. I just question what is possible - a selection from townies may seem easier, but how about from gallery (which sounds like a challenge, but would make it an outstanding mod!). Plastic Surgery - Simply a machine or a potion or maybe a phone call... or a "Travel to Hospital for Plastic Surgery" option. You can choose from Plastic Surgery, Genetic Surgery and Genetic Plastic Surgery perhaps? (maybe split the surgery into 2 surgeries - face and body?). It's beginning to sound like a transformation, however the transformation does not allow you to adjust your current sim to your will. What do you guys think? Is it possible to make such a mod? I know you can do this with cheating, but using something cosmetic and visual in the game for this purpose gives a different feeling to the action. I'd like to hear your thoughts! :)The Calendar
I love the calendar, really, I do. The only thing I do not like about it is the very moment you go to a new game, you have to do a new calendar with all you want in it again. I always put in all school holidays (in Germany we have 4 big school holiday times of about 1-2 weeks each!), all Christian ones and national ones also. Together with birthdays, it makes me work about 1-2 hours before I am able to play. Hm! Well ... Who is able to take care of that? Or, who has the confidence to mod a calendar that is, well, copyable? From one game to another? I'd die for having such a tool. Or ... is this ... IMPOSSIBLE ??? :#Neighborhood Action Plan Mod Ideas
The Eco-Lifestyle pack introduced Neighborhood Action Plans (NAPs) to vote for to impact your neighborhood. It's a fun concept, but I feel like the game could have gone deeper with it...but maybe modders can do their thing and fill out the system more. I gave it some thought and came up with a couple of ideas I think would be fun to see added. Here are just a few of my ideas, but I'd love to see what others come up with! Good School District: Increases ease for Child/Teen Sims to get better grades in school, but at consequence of higher bills. (Sorta replaces the Good Schools Lot Trait, or in tandem with it, but it makes more sense as a neighborhood thing than a lot trait.) No Occults: This community wants to keep its neighborhood to humans only! Occult households will face higher bills. Occults are less likely to visit, and neighbors may act hostile. Sims gain influence for being Mean or Mischief to Occults. Occults Welcome: This community embraces occults! Occult households are incentivized to live here with a bill reduction. Occults are more likely to visit. Sims gain influence for being Friendly, Funny or Romantic with Occults, or using Occult powers. No Kids!: This neighborhood wants to be quiet and peaceful, without all the ruckus of the young folk. Households with Babies, Toddlers, Children or Teens will face a bill penalty for each young member of the household. Adults and Elders are more likely to visit. (Spin on the "55 and Over" neighborhoods.) No Pets!: This neighborhood doesn't want any furballs around. Households with pets will face a bill penalty for each pet in the household. Pet-Friendly: Incentives for families with pets, as well as any Veterinarians, and the neighborhood is more likely to attract people with pets as well as strays. Influence can be gained for interacting with pets or working on Veterinary skill. College Town: Sims receive a reduction in bills if they are currently enrolled in University, or work in the Education career. Other University students and staff more likely to visit. Sims can gain Influence by improving their grades or studying Research & Debate skill. Only the Elite: Sims in this neighborhood want to keep the neighborhood for a certain class of people...the rich and the famous! Bills are HIGHLY increased as a way to discourage less-wealthy Sims from living in the neighborhood. However, celebrities will receive a discount based on fame level to incentivize their prestige. Celebrities and Sims with the Snob, Materialistic, or Self-Absorbed trait are more likely to visit. Sims with these traits can gain Influence for using related interactions. Sims can also gain influence by earning money. Subsidized Housing: This neighborhood is perfect for those who are struggling to make ends meet. Bills are significantly reduced as long as your current finances are less than $5,000 per household member. Live in Filth!: This NAP sets the neighborhood more towards Industrial footprint and Sims receive a discount for having a high Industrial eco-footprint, with a bill increase for a Green eco-footprint. Reach violin level 4 Daily Task: busk with violin Wages: §30/h (cut down by a tiny bit, I know, but I wanted a bit more realism in that you wouldn't realistically be earning money whilst auditioning, but of course, didn't want it to just be zero, so I figured cutting it down would make it a little more realistic. Plus there's a sizable jump in payment once promoted) hours: 5pm-9pm Days: Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday. 4. Second Violins - Local Orchestra You made it! Now you're allowed to play alongside the professionals! By no means is your musical journey complete, you can do better and there's a long way to go! Reach violin level 6 Daily task: Practice violin Wages §100/H Hours: 3pm-8pm Days: Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. 4: First Violins - Local Orchestra Now you're really making a name for yourself! But you can still go further, you're only playing in the small local orchestra, after all. Do you have what it takes to join the most prestigious of players? I was going to add second principal violin as well as concertmaster for the local orchestra, but I didn't want the career track to be insanely long. I wanted to have the auditions to make it a bit more realistic, too. I get that I could have gotten rid of the first two stages of the career, since they aren't as realistic, but I wanted a start to the career where you had to build up your skill, first. Though this could be changed and I could maybe at least add the second principal violin seats, or even concertmaster for local orchestra, and make the career 10 positions long? No idea. I should also add I've not played in an orchestra myself, I'm more of an experimental player (and because of issues don't play as often as I used to, or imo, as well as i used to :( ) so I've just used what knowledge I do have to come up with this.
