Can someone explain to me how to delete my EA account?
I’ve looked in account management, the help section, and performed an internet search, but have so far found nothing. I can’t even figure out how to start a support case. If anyone knows how to delete my account, can you let me know and/or link to the page that lets me do it, please? Thanks!18Views0likes1CommentOrigin to EA
I've had an Origin account for almost 14 years before it got deleted, which I was unaware of until today. My email address linked to my Origin account has been deleted for over 10 years now and I am unable to access it. I have three expansion packs (get to work and get famous) linked to that old email address. This is over $150 worth, and I've looked all over the EA support to figure out how I can access my account again. It asks me to ask Gmail to help recover the email but as it has been deleted for over 10 years, I am unable to. In order to access my old Origin account which I assume has now been ransfered to EA, there is a 2-factor verification that I have to go through. However, as I do not have access to that email address anymore I can't get past the 2-factor verification and thus can't access my Sims 4 with my three purchased expansion packs . Can someone please help me?Solved9Views0likes1CommentWhy is my EA account asking me for proof of my age?
I live in Mexico. We don't have any laws that require us to disclose our age to access these materials. So why is the app asking me for this all of a sudden? I clicked on the "Learn More" link and it leads to https://help.ea.com/en/articles/ea-account/age-assurance/ - a page that does not exist. There's this link in the app too, but clicking it does nothing. I searched the help pages, found nothing that referred to this requirement. So what the heck is going on?170Views5likes5CommentsUKs Online Safety Act - Age Verification?
Hey. Does anyone know if EA are planning to put age verification on games, because of the online safety act? The user-to-user section means that any user content has to be heavily moderated or age restricted. Does this mean we won’t be able to use online features in games like Battlefield 6 without verifying age? Will individual features like chat or custom portal content be age restricted? Or will all online play be limited? I’m aware Microsoft is restricting voice chat for strangers and games like GTA5 are age-restricting online modes. Social media like reddit have turned to Persona with their shady practices, policy to keep biometrics for years to train their AI, and their only UK GDPR compliance officer being a welsh spiritual retreat owner. Will EA be doing the same for every online game in their library? If so what will it look like (government ID, AI age estimation, credit card check)? Will it be disability and accessibility friendly (options other than unreliable AI face ID or passport)? And is there any info on what company EA will be using? I tried asking support, but got an automated reply on following game rules then “we can’t help you, use the forums”. Considering the law is active now and EA are liable for its current library of games, and they are racking up pre-orders for BF6 which may have to change player requirements to follow this silly law, I think it’s pretty important to get an answer asap :| Thanks.416Views0likes3CommentsWhere did Bulletstorm go?
Hello, can anyone help me with Bulletstorm? I bought Bulletstorm on Origin on March 22, 2013, and I still have the confirmation email for the purchase. I wanted to play it today, but it disappeared from my EA account? How is this possible? I haven't received any information about the game being discontinued and there's no sign of it anywhere. I searched for it in the store, but neither the original nor the "Full clip edition" can be found.32Views0likes2CommentsI don't have access to my old email. The account is over 10 years old.
Recently, EA started requiring codes from your registration email. This didn't happen before. I'd already restored my account once, but I thought the EA app would remember me and not ask for a code again. But when I returned from a business trip, it asked for a code again. I've already contacted the support chat, and they're asking me various questions that I don't remember anymore; I registered over 10 years ago. I'm offering them the files EA stores on my PC so they can verify that it's my account. I have a game called Buttfield on Steam that I played. I give them screenshots and photos, asking them to take their files, but they're unwilling. They're waiting for me to remember all the information they're looking for. Where else can I go? I have a lot of EA files on my PC from over 10 years ago, including their logs, and old Steam games with game keys. I'm contacting them again now, but the chat channel is inactive, so I can't use it anymore. My PC contains a lot of files, videos, and photos from various EA games on my account, but they're not interested. It's strange. They're not interested in the EA game linked to Steam, with keys. I played it, and there's a Steam post about it.234Views2likes12Comments
