How old are you?
I was reading job openings at EA's website and saw this on one of the descriptions "The Sims 4 has an extremely unique player base attracting a large young female-skewing audience." It got me thinking about how many of us don't fit into their intended target audience. I'm 30 (been playing the sims since I was 12) and a lot of my friends still play the sims too. Here's a link to that job posting. https://ea.gr8people.com/index.gp?method=cappportal.showJob&opportunityID=157736&sid=https://ea.com/careers/careers-overview/worldwide-studios I accidentally forgot 41-49. So If you're in this age range please comment. Sorry about that.4.1KViews1like126CommentsWhy Project X MUST be a TS4 Engine Upgrade and Multiplayer
Dear @TheSims / @EA, The community is talking about Project X and we have a very clear vision of what we want: We dont want a Sims 5 that forces us to leave 11 years of collections and memories behind. We want an evolution, not a reset! The Engine Upgrade: Give us the Project X visuals and performance as a massive technical update for The Sims 4. Fix the old spaghetti code and let us play our favorite game with modern graphics and open neighborhoods! Multiplayer Integration: This is the game-changer! Imagine building and living together with friends in the same world we have spent years creating. This would make The Sims the ultimate social simulation. Respect our Investment: We love our DLCs and our Sims. Dont make us start from zero. Upgrade the base, add the multiplayer, and you will have the most loyal fanbase forever. This is the only way to compete with upcoming rivals! Lets make the future of Sims together. Who is with me? #TheSims4 #ProjectX #Sims4Upgrade #SimsMultiplayer #Sims5 #EA #BehindTheSims1KViews6likes16CommentsWhen will you abandon playing The Sims?
It was suggested to me that people over the age of 30 should not be playing The Sims. At what age will you be when you decide you are too old to play The Sims? For reference, I am over 50, and love the game, and have no intention of abandoning playing :)799Views7likes21CommentsEA Killed The Sims Mobile and Left Players With Nothing
This decision makes no sense and deserves to be called out. The Sims Mobile was the only Sims game on mobile that respected players’ time, creativity, and emotional investment. Instead of expanding it with more careers, hobbies, and worlds — which players repeatedly asked for — EA chose to completely shut it down. This was not because the game was bad. This was not because there was no demand. This was because EA decided it was easier and more profitable to abandon it. Pushing players toward The Sims FreePlay is not a solution. FreePlay is a fundamentally different game: excessive timers, limited Create-a-Sim, restricted building, outdated mechanics, and aggressive monetization. It does not replace Sims Mobile in any meaningful way. For iPad and mobile-only players, EA effectively removed The Sims entirely. There is no alternative, no successor, and no acknowledgment that a large part of the community preferred story-driven, fast, creative gameplay over timer-based grinding. This shutdown shows a complete disregard for player feedback. Many of us would have continued supporting Sims Mobile if EA had invested in meaningful content instead of abandoning it. EA didn’t just shut down a game — it broke trust with its players. At the very least, the Sims Mobile community deserves: • a clear and honest explanation • acknowledgment of what was lost • and reassurance that future Sims mobile projects will not repeat this mistake Silence and forced migration to a worse product is not acceptable.699Views2likes4CommentsRequest: Bring back The Sims Stories games!
I think this would be a really good opportunity to re-release all three of the Sims Stories series of games (Life Stories / Pet Stories / Castaway Stories). The only possible issue is, IIRC, Life Stories wasn't developed by EA, but rather was something that Aspyr made by themselves and EA simply published the PC version (and Aspyr published the Mac version of course) so maybe there'd be a bit of licensing weirdness. Otherwise? It'd be amazing to see these three re-released on Steam, maybe as a bundle. $30 for the three, or $10 each. The one fix I'd hope to see, at least in Life Stories, is the carpool driver endlessly generates in Free Play mode (and maybe Story Mode too - haven't checked). It never stops generating carpool / bus driver NPCs, when it's supposed to use the same three pre-generated ones which are already in all three neighborhoods. There's also a few minor inconsistencies in some of the art assets and a ton of unused content in all 3 of them. In the odd event a person at EA sees this and can at least jot this down: All 3 of the games have a completely unused "SimScript" directory in the game's TSData directory. This folder is about 200 MB in Pet Stories I think, which is a lot of data for something that's not even used in the game, so obviously remove that directory in the event you were to revisit this game. There's a lot more I could say, the various quirks, etc, but I'll hold off now.380Views8likes3CommentsThoughts on an annual Simmers convention?
It would be amazing to have an annual Sims convention where Simmers all over the world can meet up. Everyone welcome, community awards for Sims creations, team building exercises, surveys can be done, news can be shared & friends made etc And every year, the convention would take place in a different city, so one year it may be California, then the year after it being in Berlin, then London and so on?369Views3likes5CommentsThe Sims Creator Program

What is the difference between The Sims Creator Program and the EA Creator Network? They’re made to work in tandem! The Sims Creator Program upholds the values, goals, and strategies that serve our Sims creators. The EA Creator Network is home to EA’s creators across its games, and is one of the tools to provide many of the important perks and franchise-specific access and opportunities. The Sims Creator Program operates using the Creator Network, and it’s one of the channels where once approved as a Sims creator, you can expect to hear from our team. I’m already a member of the EA Creator Network, but not of The Sims Creator Program. How can I request to join The Sims Creator Program? If you are a member of the EA Creator Network and have The Sims listed as your primary franchise, you’re already in The Sims Creator Program! Please reach out to your local POC to find out what opportunities and perks you can access. What constitutes an “active creator?” You actively create content across one or more The Sims titles, and “active” may look different across different platforms. As a baseline, you should have The Sims content on your main channel within the last 30 days, and a history of content from at least the last 90 days. How often do you review spots for The Sims Creator Program? We value every creator who requests to join The Sims Creator Program, so we’ll be reviewing each request with careful attention. Reviews will be ongoing, at the team’s discretion, and you can expect new cohorts of creators every month or two. Who is not eligible for The Sims Creator Program? The Sims Creator Program is not open to anyone who has violated the terms of any previous EA creator program (e.g. EA Game Changers), the EA User Agreement, EA Creator Network Guidelines, or those employed by other industry developers/publishers. Those who were removed from any previous EA Creator Programs are also not eligible to rejoin and/or be reinstated. I’m a parent, talent manager or agency representative and I represent a creator that wants to be a part of this program. Can I be a part of the program on their behalf? Unfortunately we do not allow talent agencies, talent managers or parents to apply or take part in this program on behalf of individual creators. Can I apply with my fan site to The Sims Creator Program? Yes, creators who operate fan sites of The Sims may apply to The Sims Creator Program and will be required to sign the same agreements as other EA Creator Network creators. What is the Support-A-Creator initiative? Support-A-Creator is a partnership program that enables The Sims 4 community to support creators when purchasing The Sims 4 content on the EA app store. This means creators will have the opportunity to earn commissions by promoting EA products using their unique Creator Code. Becoming a member of The Sims Creator Program entitles you to your very own Creator Code, which means purchases of The Sims 4 and other EA content (eg. Kits, Expansion Packs, other EA games) from the EA App, EA.com store or in-game purchase flow using your Creator Code will count towards supporting you. As a member of the The Sims Creator Program, do I have to participate in every opportunity that I’m invited to? Not at all! Creators may choose to participate in as many or as few opportunities as they like. I requested to join but was not successful or my submission wasn’t reviewed. Can I reapply? If you received an email inviting you to reapply, you can do so 90 days from when you receive that email. If you don’t receive an email from us after 90 days, please log back into the EA Creator Network site to check your status and eligibility to resubmit a request again. How do I know if a creator has created some form of content connected to the EA Creator Network or The Sims Creator Program? Members of the EA Creator Network and The Sims Creator Program must adhere to disclosure policies for content that they create and creators are responsible for including prominent disclosures on content connected to the EA Creator Network and The Sims Creator Program. Do the actions of The Sims Creator Program creators outside any EA game affect their program participation? Yes. If you see a creator who is part of The Sims Creator Program behaving in a way that you believe may break our EA Creator Network Guidelines or The Sims brand values, you can report them here. Can I participate in third party paid sponsorships while being a member of The Sims Creator Program? You may be approached by companies other than EA to perform sponsorship or promotional services on behalf of their marketing and promotions campaigns. In general, EA does not object to EA Creators pursuing these opportunities provided the use of EA marks, logos, or products such as The Sims franchise and its games are not used or featured in these other campaigns. The only exception to this is if the 3rd party paid sponsorships violate our EA Creator Network guidelines. How can I, a representative of a third party organization collaborate with EA and/or The Sims and The Sims Creator Program participants? Who should I reach out to first? We appreciate you taking interest in The Sims and the amazing creators we collaborate with.
