Battlefield 1 & V bug freezes my PC - hard reset needed - faulty anti cheat
UPDATE: I managed to get a normal crash rather than a full system freeze. Go on registry editor, at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers and make sure TdrLevel registry key is set to Decimal 3. If there is no "TdrLevel" create a new DWORD value, set Decimal and set to 3. Then restart your PC. My crash message looks like this now: DirectX Error DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. GPU: "", Driver: "25.5.1 (25.10.01.09-250425a-415182C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition)". This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 1024 MB of VRAM. This doesn't solve the issue since the game is still causing crashes but at least it solves the hard freeze. Last crash it seems kernelbase.dll crashed bf1, which still suggests the anti-cheat is at fault here. Below you have the original post with the previous edits: I am experiencing this issue on BF1. As far as I've seen across the forums, the same anti cheat system was installed on BF V as well, and plenty of similar posts across the forums for both of the games. It has to do with the new anti-cheat system. I've played for 200 hours (stopped a few months ago, before the new anti-cheat update) and when I started playing again yesterday I can get in a game, and within a few minutes to a few dozen minutes the game will literally freeze (audio continues to work for a while), i can move my mouse around on the frozen bf1 game but I am unable to do any command (alt+tab, ctrl+alt+delete, windows+tab, ctrl+shift+win+b, alt+f4 etc), literally nothing. After a little while my mouse stops working too , audio cuts off and my PC is left in a frozen state, on the last frame of the battlefield game right before the freeze. This has to do with the crap anti cheat system that works at a kernel level. Perhaps it has to do with certain CPU architectures and it not being optimized for all. My system specs are: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X AMD 7900 XTX G.Skill 64 GB RAM 6000Mhz BF1 is the only game that does this. I've also noticed I am having stutters in the game, especially the minutes before having a crash. I tried every type of fix like setting my power plan to balanced (popular fix online - doing this allowed my to have my longest session of like 20-30 minutes i think, but still crashed my PC), updating the anti cheat system from its tool .exe, removing the anti cheat files and verifying integrity on steam, trying to run on compatibility mode, running the CPU on one CCD, etc) and no luck. It's clearly the problem is from the new update and since the new update introduced a new anti cheat system and the crash seems to be a kernel-level type of crash since it requires a hard reset of the whole PC, I think we have the answer -> faulty anti cheat system, possibly on the ryzen architecture CPUs, mine being AM5. EA, I am tired of trying fixes and I will stop trying fixes since I have hard rebooted my PC at least 5 times trying to fix your faulty update. Get this sorted ASAP. EDIT: Based on the comments, it looks like there are plenty others with Intel PCs that have the same problems as well. It seems that it happens on both Intel and AMD CPUs as well as both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. This enforces the idea that it is the anti-cheat that is causing the crash but it widens the search for the problem within the anti-cheat since it's no longer AM4/AM5 only. Harder for the devs, but at least we know it's not our PCs/drivers. The behavior seems to be a bit different depending on each case: some people have the same symptoms as me, others nearly the same but it ends with a BSOD, others have a freeze for a few seconds but PC recovers rather than crashing. EDIT 2: It seems that the anti-cheat is causing the GPU drivers to hard-crash at the kernel level therefore freezing the PC. Looks like it happens on a very different mix of platforms, different amd&intel&nvidia combos. If you have the same problem try stating what apps u have open as well, the ones running in the background too. Maybe it's an overlay issue or idk...
Achievement not unlocking for "Through Mud and Blood" in Battlefield 1
I've completed every single Codex Entry in the "Through Mud and Blood" campaign, but the achievement won't pop. It’s been over two years, and I’ve replayed it countless times. My in-game profile shows it's finished, but Steam and EA App are showing nothing. Any fix for this?Cant get banner to show up after setting it and join my own server ps5
Basically the title. I cannot get my banner to show up after doing the correct image requirements aswell as changing it to a different photo twice. Then i cant even join my own server but i can join others fine. Im on ps5. Sucks hate to say i wasted money :/ bought it today like an hour ago. Says server connection lost or something. Any help please?... :(
I cant play BF4's mutiplayer
Recently I got a problem. After I downloaded bf4 I started it but soon I found its telling me my ea is offline but my Internet connection is nice .So I tried to open bf1 and bf5,but both of them didnt come out to such a problem I really want to play bf4,after I got this probleM I had reinstall it 3 times and my patience almost worn out now. Could you please tell me how to solve it?I really need help
Battlefield 1 (steam) is not launching, tried everything
Battlefield 1 not launching at all. I press play (doesn't matter if it's on steam or EA app), it says "preparing game", closes the EA app, then opens the EA app again while stopping the launch of BF1. After stopping launch it boots up EA app for less than 1 sec with pop up - some features have been disabled because the ea app launched from another application after that it will lauch EA app normaly but still no boot with game. Everything I've tried: Reinstalling Battlefield 1 - nothing Reinstaling, repairing, updating AntiCheat - nothing updating registry - nothing Reinstalling EA App - nothing Repairing EA App - nothing Clearing EA App Cache - nothing Verifying Game File Integrity on Steam - nothing Updating my graphics drivers - nothing Changing compatibility modes of both Battlefield 1 and EA App, Steam (Windows 8 and Run as Admin in every combination) - nothing Changing Battlefield 1 config file - nothing Checked Windows Defender - nothing Checked Firewall - nothing Changing EA App installation path - nothing I did everything Battlefield V and 2042 works fine. I have 2 copies of BF1. One is on EA and second is on Steam. I downloaded BF1 from steam and it just wohnt boot. now i cant even boot up that copy from BF1. Yesterday I once boot up that game and played for 4 hours. After i closed game it didnt boot up back. Please help me. I can enter into the gun bench and change the gun bench, custom slots however I cannot save them to later enter into an online match. This is not just one of the normal things being taken away after going legendary. There is no lock sign that tells you what assignment you need to do. Additionally, there is like a one in 100 chance that for whatever reason the custom slots save until I go back to the gun bench or even go into an online match. However, this is pretty much useless because it only saves that one time. I even tried deleting and re-downloading the game, but that did not work. I found some opinions on Google that this is actually a permanent glitch that can happen to people that go legendary because visceral games has closed and there is no true support person anymore for Battlefield hardline. is this really true? This seems like a game breaking glitch for people like me that highly covet the gun bench.
