Stuck on Vacation
So, I haven't posted in a hot minute. I rage quit playing since october, when I kept getting stuck when trying to send my sim home from vacation in China. I'm not sure what is happening, but it has taken the joy out of the game for me. It will get stuck on the loading screen where you can click on the things for points. Yes, I've tried not clicking it at all. It gets it almost all the way loaded then just.... doesn't finish. I can't switch families to play games in that neighborhood and it was my FAVORITE neighborhood. My only other option is to MAYBE save the neighborhood itself and make another copy? but I don't know if that will just recreate a corrupted file since one of my sims is stuck on a permanent vacation... help?
Missing some menu on horse
Hi, recently I added a wild hore to my active family by cheat. For some reason, I don't have 'lead horse', 'reinforcement', 'discourage' or 'scold' when the horse has done something wrong, and 'brush'. Also my hosse doesn't have 'chase' and 'horseplay' with other wild horse. Is it normal when the wild horses are playable in the active family? This is the first time that I added one. I've played with unicorn (adopted without cheat), and just normal horse from CAS, and I didn't have this issue.
Sims 3 nothing works that is from store and exchange
@ Maxis tech support or whoever is still maintaining the Sims 3 and its expansions and content from the store and exchange I do hope someone is still maintaining the Sims 3 game, which has an active digital store asking for real money to purchase items, or the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Rights Bureau will hear about it ASAP I have been out of the Sims 3 since Jan 2025 now, in June 2025, trying to play again Sims 3, I was prompted to install the newest version of the EA app, which I was forced, since I had no other choice - I wasn't happy about it, because every update brings more problems than it solves, but it couldn't play otherwise, so I had to do it after that, launching Sims 3 I realized that nothing from the premium digital store http://www.store.thesims3.com nothing works, and I'm talking about especially the premium content that was purchased with real money, like extra worlds Midnight Hallow and Roaring Heights, just to name a few, but other virtual assets, in the hundreds, I'd say and in my stupid naivety, I was planning to buy the Lucky Palms, Monte Vista and Sunlit Tides, so like a fool, I was ready to drop $30+ more on new (to me) premium content now, nothing works anymore in the launcher is not recognized as being installed I've tried to reinstall the worlds, the premium content, but it's not working I have saved games from those two premium worlds, Midnight Hallow and Roaring Heights, and I can't load them to continue my stories in-game I can't start a new game with those two worlds, which also come with custom content and items so basically, nothing that I've paid for is working properly anymore after the last EA app update I've tried to download again the content, those two worlds - and a few other assets, out of hundreds that I have - it tellls me was downloaded successfully, yet the launcher won't start with the worlds as installed, won't allow me to load older games, nor to start a new game in those worlds why are you breaking the only Sims game, Sims 3, that's worth attention?? hoping we're going to move to Sims 4, that's a disaster..??.. no, we won't move to Sims 4, I'd rather play inZoi than move to Sims 4 I've spent a lot of money on expansion packs and premium content from the store on Sims 3, and I expect to use it and play it, as normal, like any other player who did the same... what can I do to fix it..??..
Sims Cannot Get Out Houseboat
My sims literally just cannot leave their houseboat. When i moved them in at first, they all walked in just fine. Their son gets tped out for school, and walks back in just fine. But he literally cannot leave the house after he walks in. They dont walk to where i click and then complain about something blocking them either, they immediately complain about not being able to get there. Someone PLEASE help me out. I also moved them out and then back in, i replaced the house. NOTHING. Whats funny is, they lived in another houseboat before this one, and had no problems.
Content purchased from SIMS3 online unable to download into game
I purchased a baby dragon from sims 3 online store and it does not show up in my purchase history, BUT it does show up in my download content from the actual sims 3 launch download tab. I'm unable to access the content as shown in the screen shot. The dragon valley base dlc issue was resolved, but i am still unable to access any other content like the string lights or the baby dragon. Mayank R states in the chat when i spoke with them that it remains a technical issue on their side and they are unable to resolve it until it's fixed on their end and advised me to post in the forum. Have had these issues since last year and the dragon valley issue was just resolved. Harish C was useless and unhelpful. Left mid chat while he gave me a laundry list of things to do and didn't explain how to do it or try to answer questions i had on his instructions. The disconnect made me wait an additional 25-30 minutes on top of the 40 minutes i had already waited for Mayank to answer and resolve his failure to assist.Pop-up Asking for EA sign in to activate
Hi there - wondering if anyone can help with this issue. When I press play I get this pop-up asking me to sign in with an EA Account, however, I am already signed in on both the EA app and launcher. Unsure why this isn't working but any help is appreciated. I'm on Windows 11, have no special characters in my password, have tried loads of suggestions already but am at a but of a loss. Thanks in advance.
Haven't been able to play The Sims 3 since i built my new pc in december
Hi since I built my new pc in December I have not been able to get the Sims 3 to work. I am getting the "a serious error has occurred while loading world" error when trying to start a new game or load an existing one and it won't let me play at all. I have tried turning off firewall, pausing syncing on one drive, taking ownership of documents on command prompt. Nothing has worked. The only thing that "worked" for a few days was creating a local windows account on my pc but it was taking up alot of storage and was creating issues with shared files and applications between accounts and I had to delete it and scrub it from my registry and file system completely to fix the issue. I don't want a local account. I want one account on my pc with my microsoft account attached to it. I don't want to have to deal with a second account and all the issues and confusion with it just to play one game that should work on my main account. Every other sims game works on my main account. This includes The Sims and The Sims 2. I do not mean the re-releases, I mean I got the original games working on my PC with workarounds and hacks and mods. It is just The Sims 3 that refuses to work. The only time i got to play it was for a few days with the local account that I don't want to have to re-create. Now you might wonder why I haven't just managed the backup settings for onedrive for the sims 3 or the documents folder but I have indeed tried that, and every time I try to go into onedrive and change settings to not backup documents folder it doesn't even give me the option, it looks like I might have to uninstall icloud or something but it looks like the folder isnt even backing up anyway so how could that fix anything? Gaining the ability to toggle something off that isnt even on.. how could that fix the issue? I have added a photo below of exactly what I encounter when attempting this, as you can see it won't even let me click on any files and according to them, DOCUMENTS ISN'T EVEN BACKED UP AS IS. This doesn't even make sense as onedrive is clearly the culprit seeing as making a local account "fixed" it. Also, according to command prompt, the directory for my documents folder does NOT include Onedrive in the path, which baffles me further as how is onedrive even the problem then. At a loss at what to do. Im afraid to do anything too drastic and irreversible that could cause other issues and/or not even work at the end of the day. Please help me.
