Cloud Saves for Mirror's Edge Catalyst?
I played Mirror's Edge Catalyst back in 2016 via Origin. As far as I know, Origin supported Cloud Saves for the game at the time. However, when I reinstalled the game this month, I noticed that my save was lost. I had to install the game via the new EA app, since Origin was disabled starting this month. I therefore have two questions now: Can I see somewhere whether the EA app is syncing my new save files? (i.e. Can I see whether the EA app supports cloud saves for Mirror's Edge Catalyst?) Can I somehow access my old save files after Origin was shut down? Btw, if EA really just deleted (or removed access to) some cloud saves without notice, I personally find it incredibly careless. If you do a migration which risks losing data from customers, you should mail every customer beforehand with instructions how they can download the data for themselves. For me, this incident just tells me that I cannot trust any EA services in the future.
Please change the rules regarding EA ID
You can use a hyphen and underscore in your EA ID, but these symbols are not counted as different unique characters (for example: If I create an EA ID " asd123 " and someone else wants that EA ID too, they won't be able to create different variations of that EA ID, for example " asd_123 " or " asd_123- ", or any other possible variations with those symbols, and I think it works the other way around too, if I create an EA ID " asd_123- ", another person won't be able to take just " asd123 "). I want to use a specific EA ID, but I can't... Please make a hyphen and an underscore count as completely different characters. In most other gaming platforms these symbols are counted as completely different characters. I chatted with a EA Help advisor about this and he said to submit my claim here in the forum.
I don't like this app.
I bought ME:LE on Steam. I want to play it but I heard the EA app was buggy, ate money, and had privacy concerns. I thought to myself: "That sounds right about in line with EA." So I used the Origin workaround for a while until you guys dropped Origin. Now I can't play Mass Effect without being taxed somehow. Even though I already bought the game. I just won't then. You took away Mass Effect just like you took away the studio that made it. I miss EA from the 90's. I wish you guys cared about people and not just money. You won't get any more from me. -Disappointed gamer
EA app on Steam Deck?
So, I am planning the transaction of a steam deck. I want it for a few reasons, but a main reason is Sims Legacy. I bought The 25th birthday bundle last week and I decided that I want to play it on the go. So I want to buy Valve's portable PC known as the Steam Deck, but is the EA app available on the Steam Deck? It is kinda where I bought the games.
