I don't like this app.
I bought ME:LE on Steam. I want to play it but I heard the EA app was buggy, ate money, and had privacy concerns. I thought to myself: "That sounds right about in line with EA." So I used the Origin workaround for a while until you guys dropped Origin. Now I can't play Mass Effect without being taxed somehow. Even though I already bought the game. I just won't then. You took away Mass Effect just like you took away the studio that made it. I miss EA from the 90's. I wish you guys cared about people and not just money. You won't get any more from me. -Disappointed gamer
Disable EA Overlay through Config File or Windows Registry
I have added an EA Game to Steam as a Non-Steam-Game to play it with the Steam Overlay but I noticed that some games freeze on start when both the EA and Steam Overlay are active. Example for one game: STAR WARS Galaxy of Heroes. I can manually disable the EA Overlay through the app but this option is a global setting and not an individual game setting like it was in Origin. Is it possible that I can disable the EA Overlay through a certain config file or a certain entry in the Windows Registry(if available)? In that case I would run a batch script that disables the EA Overlay through that file or registry entry when I run an EA Game from Steam as a Non-Steam Game to avoid issues with the EA Overlay and reactivate it once the Non-Steam-Game is closed. If someone could help me with this, it would be much appreciated.
EA app on Steam Deck?
So, I am planning the transaction of a steam deck. I want it for a few reasons, but a main reason is Sims Legacy. I bought The 25th birthday bundle last week and I decided that I want to play it on the go. So I want to buy Valve's portable PC known as the Steam Deck, but is the EA app available on the Steam Deck? I'm a parent managing my 10-year-old daughter’s gaming accounts through family/parental controls. She started playing Sims4 on a PS5 using the PlayStation login option. Now she’s switching to a Mac (M4), and we’ll be selling the PS5 soon. We’re now stuck because of one of two issues — solving either would let us move forward: EA App on Mac shows nothing When logging in via her PlayStation-linked account, the EA App on Mac is completely empty — no games, no store, nothing. Even after temporarily disabling all PlayStation parental controls, the app stays blank. Can’t “promote” her EA account We tried converting her PlayStation-linked EA account into a regular EA login tied to her email (keeping her current User ID, friends, etc.), but when we try to create a child account from my parent account, we get the error: "User ID already in use." We understand we'll need to repurchase Sims4 add-ons on the Mac (which is disappointing, EA), but right now, we just want to move forward in one of these two ways: Either fix the EA App so it works with her current login Or convert her PlayStation-based EA account into a full EA account Any help would be greatly appreciated — thank you!The linux question
Hi I'am an appasionate of the battlefield series that I've started on the ps4, then I got myself a pc (with windows of course) now it hjas been a few years that I'm using linux. I get all my games from steam and for me it's not a problem if they use a third party app to launch, the problem for me is when they don't start. So my question is: why doesn't EA do something to fix the issue of his app on the GNU/linux system, when they've been able to port their launcher on MacOs. On linux there are already many technologies to translate the games instructions for linux. On the EA forums I couldn't find any post or any announcement that EA is porting its launcher for the GNU/Linux system, does someone knows if there are plans for this? OTHER Payment Methods
Should EA include other payment methods except Credit cards like Debit cards , UPI etc in India ????? want to play , but i dont use credit cards and whenever i proceed : it says try again later or contact support or use other payment method, whereas their isnt any ; only credit cards available. But previously about 2 years back whenever i use to proceed in buying from EA App i use to input my debit cards details in there and proceed further and it was accepted by EA but now it has been removed i guess . i thought of not buying from steam , epic or any third party app , came to EA App directly but now this is the situation ;/ Anyone of you agree with this please supportStar wars does not start in Steam via EA
I bought Star Wars Battlefront II in steam, but I needed to download EA, and for some reason when I click the play button in steam, the game doesn't start and nothing happens at all, and in EA itself I didn't even know where to launch it, I stupidly don't have this function.
