FC 26 on PS5 - Unable to Connect Online and "Can't Check Sync Status" Error
I am experiencing an issue with FC 26 on my PS5. The game worked perfectly for about 6 months, but recently I have been having problems connecting online. When I open FC 26, the game sometimes shows "Can't check sync status" with a red exclamation mark. If I try to sync manually, it asks me to close the game. After closing the game and trying to sync, the same error returns when I launch FC 26 again. I also receive messages saying that the game cannot reach my online account, which prevents me from accessing online features. The strange part is that the issue is intermittent. Sometimes FC 26 works normally, and then later the same day it stops connecting again. FC 25 works online without any issues on the same PS5 and internet connection, so the problem appears to be specific to FC 26. Could you please check if there is an issue with my EA account, cloud synchronization, or FC 26 online services and advise on how to resolve it? It’s been four weeks now. There are multiple threads and not the community managers at EA haven’t responded to anyone in two weeks. What is going on hereEA_EduEA_AljoEA_Abril ? You owe us all an explanation. Sky are saying this is an issue at your end. Surely, as paying customers, some of us spending 100s on this game can get an insight into your “investigation” and the conversations had with Sky?!!!! Sky has 6.5 million users, it’s the UKs second biggest company in EAs biggest market. How are you allowed to abandon your community like this? Where do we all stand legally, because your game just does not work! It’s time for some honestly, tell us what is going on and what is happening to help fix this issue. Dear EA Support Team, I am facing a serious performance issue while playing EA SPORTS FC 26 on my laptop. Laptop Specifications: - Model: ASUS TUF A15 (2025) - GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 (4GB VRAM) - RAM: 16GB - Display: 144Hz - Storage: SSD Issue Description: When I start the game, everything works perfectly fine. Initially, I get around 70–80 FPS and the game runs smoothly. However, after the game starts or after spending some time on the home page/menu, the FPS suddenly drops drastically to 7, 5, 3, 2 FPS, and today it even dropped to 0 FPS. The game becomes extremely laggy and unplayable. I also noticed that GPU utilisation goes up to 99%, while the game performance becomes worse instead of better. GPU temperatures are around 75°C–86°C, which seems normal for gaming, but the FPS still drops heavily. I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps: - Switching between Turbo and Performance mode in Armoury Crate - Updating graphics settings - Running the game in Fullscreen mode - Adjusting NVIDIA settings to Prefer Maximum Performance - Disabling overlays and changing display settings Despite these steps, the issue still continues only in EA SPORTS FC 26. Other games work normally on my laptop. Please help me resolve this issue as the game becomes unplayable after launching. Been having this issue since about UT birthday began. Every single time I try to log into ultimate team it takes 2-3 minutes to log in (never used to take that long) but I can’t seem to last 5 minutes without it freezing, which either says I’ve lost connection and have to start again or I’ve lost connection and it’s kicked me out of ultimate team. I’ve tried everything to try sort it out (changing to google servers, change screen settings, etc) but nothing has worked. I don’t lag or freeze on any other game so I’m 99% sure it’s not a connection issue with my WIFI. It’s a real shame because all I want to do is to be able to play a game that I’ve spent £90 on without having issues. When I actually play the game (ie division rivals and champs) it doesn’t lag. It’s just the menus. I work lates so when i finish work I don’t tend to actually play online, so it would be nice to chill and grind menus without having a very annoying problem. would appreciate if anyone else has similar issues to reply to this and hopefully help me fix it. just makes me unfortunately feel like I don’t want to buy the next game. It does not matter what I am doing in FUT. I could be doing a sbc and while searching players it just stops and loads. I can use the R2 menu for EA and everything. It can be simply me going into objectives to claim and load load load. I could play a game and after its over it gets stuck loading for 3-45 mins. If i close the game and reopen i get the loss and a disconnection warning. I can even edit my squad without getting stuck. I have dont ever ly single troubleshoot now 3 times with EA employees to prove im doing it. Nothing works. It takes me 25 mins to complete 1 full sbc because of it just stopping to load. And before you ask if its my ethernet cord or my internet. I do not lag while in a game. It does not happen to Apex. Madden. Or any other game i play on my ps5 but it happens to FC26 FUT every 2-5 mins. I cannot play this game anymore. It take me forever just to get to the rivals menu and get past my squad to then search for a game but when i search its instant and im in the game no problems but when the game is over i have to wait or sometimes even go to fix food because it takes so long for a simple loading action. Sometimes it never loads so i just turn it off. I had this issue it got stuck loading. I left to get grocerys. Got back home and you guessed it. Still loading after a game. Insane. However, before halftime (usually before the 45th minute), I get disconnected from the game and receive a “Lost Connection” message.
