Infinite loop when launching game
I bought CFB27 on steam. I try launching the game via steam and the EA app and I am consistantly met with an infinte log in loop. The game will attempt to start, then ask for my EA credentials. I enter my credentials, then the game closes. This never happened before the 30JUL2026 title update, my EA credentials were never asked for. I have tried reinstalling the game and yes my Steam and EA account are linked. No new software has been installed on my PC. Recording attached for more detail.PC - Game Will Not Launch After EA Javelin AntiCheat (Steam)
I purchased EA SPORTS College Football 27 on Steam. When I press Play, Steam launches the EA app, then EA Javelin AntiCheat appears briefly, says “Launching Game,” then closes and the game never opens. There are no error messages and the game never reaches the splash screen. PC Specs: Windows 11 NVIDIA RTX 4060 Steam version Troubleshooting already completed: Verified game files in Steam multiple times. Repaired the game and EA App. Reinstalled/checked EA Javelin AntiCheat. Ran Steam and EA App as Administrator. Updated NVIDIA graphics driver with a clean installation. Ran DISM (completed successfully with no issues). Cleared NVIDIA shader cache. Checked Windows updates. Confirmed the EA AntiCheat service is installed and running. Disabled overlays/background apps. Restarted the PC multiple times. Has anyone found a fix, or can EA investigate this issue? It appears to be a launch problem specific to College Football 27 on PC?204Views1like6CommentsEA needs to fix this game for competitive players.
First off, I have played a good amount of football games going all the way back to madden 06/07 so I have been here to see the worst of spectacular catches making the game arcade-like, along with playing NCAA 14 (in my opinion a much more balanced game than even CFB 25). I want to see if anyone else is having these consistent problems at least on the PC edition, first if you have a custom playbook on offence randomly your play will not be the one chosen (about 1 out of every 10-20 plays in my testing). If you use a custom defensive playbook you cannot guarantee you will ever come out on kickoff in anything besides onside kick (how is that even a thing???). The game will randomly crash mid road to CFB playoff (not often but happens). If someone exploits what I can only assume is a bug they can kick an onside kick about 1 or 2 yards and then pick it up - 100% of the time used to be a penalty in every football game I have ever played in last 20 years and SUDDENLY WE MESS THAT UP TOO?!? If you are playing someone online weather a friendly or "competitive" match against a random if you go up 2+ scores it is very clear to me the game begins to "cheese" your defense basically making them not stick to their man in man coverage, abandon their zones (not in "beater plays") and get demolished against the run, to me if EA is serious about people playing this game and their being a competitive mode, why in the hell are we trying to make bad players able to compete with good players? So now this brings me to my final three points that should 100% be addressed, first is obvious: the run game... I am an avid run-first player so this year it feels nice that it is 100% too strong, but with that in mind how often in real life do we see teams averaging 300-500 rushing yards per game and multiple 40-60+ yard rushes? Secondly it seems they have adjusted the catch meter to be less OP witch is nice, but some players still know how to user their WR on a back shoulder fade and essentially render your defender useless no matter what you do to try and stop it (height is a factor here for sure but if its 100% of the time its time for a change). Last and this is something I am beginning to see used is the linebacker glitch against the run, if you are unaware you user the LB, put him in his gap and then as the ball is snapped turn around with your back facing the offence, the AI will never attempt to block the linebacker turning what should've been a 4-6 yard gain into a 2 yard loss because the AI in this game is legitimately very very bad. Now that I have ranted, I am only posting this not because I am going to stop playing, but I am going to stop grinding the game and trying to rank up in Road to CFP, the bugs and exploits have become so outrageous to play against that everyone I play I either win by 28 and then they some how get 3 kick return touchdowns with everyone on the field getting a pancake, OR I am playing someone who knows the onside kick glitch, will exploit every "cheese play". If anyone knows anyone at EA I would love to go in depth on this and even show them clips of these awful game mechanics, hell I will even compare it to NCAA 14 and show how the AI from 13 years ago can still to this day somehow cover the run AND pass better than the current AI... Please let me know any other game breaking bugs / exploits that you are consistently seeing so EA might finally put out a decent product and not just recycle the game year in and out.Road to Glory Freezes on EA Flag Loading Screen During High School Games
Platform: PC / Steam Mode: Road to Glory Issue Type: Freeze / loading screen crash I am experiencing a recurring issue in Road to Glory where the game freezes when attempting to load into high school games. The issue occurs on the EA flag loading screen before entering the game. The flag animation suddenly stops, the music/audio also stops, and the application becomes completely unresponsive. No error code is displayed. This first happened in the high school portion of RTG as a WR, specifically when trying to load Game 5: Senior Night. However, after creating a new Road to Glory save, the same issue still occurs when trying to load into RTG games in different games, as if the animation was not available thus the game just stops. It does not appear to be limited to one corrupted save file. The game itself launches normally, and I can access the main menu, but I cannot reliably progress in Road to Glory because the loading screen freeze prevents me from entering games. System specs from DxDiag: OS: Windows 11 Home 64-bit System: ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 GA402RJ CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS with Radeon Graphics RAM: 16 GB DirectX Version: DirectX 12 Please investigate this issue, as it currently makes Road to Glory progression impossible on PC.175Views2likes3CommentsPC Stability Issues – Crashes to Desktop & Full System Freezes
Hello EA Team, I’m experiencing frequent stability issues on the PC version of College Football 27. The game will sometimes crash to the desktop, and other times it will completely freeze my PC, forcing me to hold the power button to restart. The crashes most commonly occur after finishing a game and returning to the main menu, after simulating halftime in Dynasty, or while entering an online game at the team selection screen. I can also spend over an hour in Practice Mode without any issues, but the game often crashes during menu or game transitions. My PC Specs: Ryzen 7 9700X NVIDIA RTX 3070 (latest Game Ready Driver installed) 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM Windows 11 Troubleshooting I’ve already completed: Updated to the latest NVIDIA Game Ready driver. Repaired the game through the EA App. Reduced graphics settings to Low/Medium. Disabled Ray Tracing. Switched to Fullscreen mode. Disabled CPU Auto OC and returned to stock settings. Verified CPU and GPU temperatures while gaming (GPU stays around 60–70°C, CPU around 80–85°C in Ryzen Master, both within expected ranges). Verified GPU usage is normal during gameplay. Confirmed other demanding games, including Madden 25 and Call of Duty, are stable on the same PC. I’ve also noticed many other PC players reporting similar DirectX errors, crashes, and freezes on Reddit and the EA forums across different GPU brands, which makes me think this may be a broader PC stability issue rather than a hardware problem. My question is: Is EA aware of these PC crash and freeze issues, and is a hotfix or stability patch currently being worked on? If so, is there any estimated timeline for when players can expect an update? Thank you. I really enjoy the game and just want to be able to play it reliably on PC.1.5KViews2likes7CommentsRecruiting Prospect List / Search Bug - PC
If you run a search while in the prospect list and then use the right trigger to change star level, state, etc that would result in a return of 0 recruits the game will freeze / crash. If it just freezes, it can still detect controller to keyboard switching, so it appears to be an issue with the search handling of null values on the menu criteria changing.Update Bug Within Game (Update/Latest version)
A current bug I have ran into is affecting my online gaming. Yesterday when playing on the EA free trial through the EA app on pc I had no issues when playing and playing online cross play with friends on Xbox console. Today I played for most of the day with zero issues until my free trial almost ran out upon which I upgraded to the MVP Bundle through the EA app. After upgrading I tried to join an Xbox player and got a message asking if everyone had the current game up to date and then to try again. After switching around lobbies and restarting games on both sides for ten mins the issue persisted. I have a friend on PC who has the game downloaded through Steam and is able to play without issue on the cross play with console so it narrows to an EA app issue. My final solution was a fresh install of the game in which the issue remained. I am currently unable to join friends or play online and face an endless queue due to this issue. I will link an image of what the message says from another post. I hope this is fixed because it is disappointing to face bugs like this during an early access for the game especially when it was a selling point for buying the bundle. Please contact if you need any additional information, hopefully this is resolved soon.
