Dragon Age Veilguard PC crash
My DA Veilguard keeps crashing and is practically unplayable. I have tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to work. It took me three seperate tries to get through character creation before my monitor went black and my PC wouldn't turn off. Each time this happens I have to switch it off by the mains because nothing else works. All drivers are up to date Windows is fully updated Antivirus software is operating well Updated BiOS Verified integrity of game files Set game to run as administrator Reconfigured preferred setting in NVIDIA control panel Deleted shaders in local files Soft reboot my PC Cleared cache and flushed DNS I am at a loss.Radio silence on bugs/crashes?
Has anyone seen any response from any EA community manager in the last week on this forum/any other avenue of communication? The last response I've been able to find was from 6 days ago, and those were just pre-generated responses replying to threads from pre-patch asking if they were still having an issue. I'd like to see some acknowledgement/information gathering occurring, especially with regards to the hard crashing and/or game save corruption issues. Currently the game is functionally unplayable for a number of console users (XBOX+PlayStation) due to the hard crashing, and a number of PC players as well, and there has been no acknowledgement of the patch not addressing the issue.Hard crashing on console [Xbox Series X]
Hard crashes are still occurring post-patch on Xbox Series X and PS5. There are multiple posts across here, Reddit, the official Bioware discord, etc all with the same issue. Randomly the game will crash, with not easily identifiable causes. The game will sometimes just crash the game, other times it will completely crash the console itself, powering it off. It will happen in combat, when paused, out of combat; there doesn't seem to be a specific trend. Sometimes it will be an hour between crashes, but more often than not it's in <10min increments. No settings changes or fixes address the issue. It happens in both performance and fidelity modes. Could we get an acknowledgement that Bioware is investigating this issue? There has been no direct acknowledgement that Bioware is aware of this issue and many people were hoping this patch would resolve it.Can't (Re)Travel to Treviso on PC
I am trying to go do the Coffee With The Crows quest, and my game crashed 3x while trying to travel to Treviso. 2x when trying to use the fast travel option on the map, then tried to go via the crossroads and it crashed after I used the eluvian. Anyone else having this issue?Game is constantly crashing to desktop and crashing steam
I've seen people with similar complaints but I've yet to see anyone with a solution. At this point, I'm convinced it's an issue with the actual game and the only way for the crashes to stop is for Bioware to release a patch and address the issue. The game originally ran fine for me but 2 days after release the game just started randomly crashing to desktop. No error or anything. It also crashes steam as well and I am unable to relaunch steam or any other app, instead I get the message, "this app is unable to run on your PC." Everything is fixed once I restart my PC. At this point, the game crashes anywhere from 1 min in to maybe 30 mins, on medium settings if I'm lucky, and maybe 10 mins max on high settings. The game used to run perfectly for me on high settings with no issues on release. I have an AMD graphics card and CPU that are above the recommended requirements. I have tried playing this game on steam deck and while the FPS sucks and I have to use low settings, there are no crashes. I have tried everything including: uninstalling and reinstalling the game verifying game files both deleting shader cache and restoring it uninstalling and reinstalling steam updating my graphic drivers and chipset updating my BIOS resetting my BIOS settings to default both enabling and disabling XMP completely uninstalling and reinstalling windows enabling DLSS lowering game settings and turning off hair stand ...and more that I probably can't even remember right now. I have spent hours trying to find a fix. At this point I don't even expect anyone to have a solution but I'm making this post so EA and Bioware are aware of this constant, random crashing that is making the game that I spent $80 on unplayable.
